The teacher should act mostly as a facilitator amongst the students if the students are far along enough in the subject matter.          <title>Student engagement, in my room certainly looks very different in my classroom.  Occasionally, I am able to get the students engaged in conversation that is pertinent to what the topic is...this sees the students talking to me, talking to each other, and then listening to each other.  This is not always the easiest thing to accomplish in my room.    </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My students are usually working on different things at the same time.&nbsp; Some may be working on math, others may be working on spelling, and others are working with either myself or the para-educators on individualized skills.&nbsp; I walk around every few minutes to check on progress of the students.  If we are doing some kind of group activity, I encourage independent work or partner work to develop HOL skills.</div>]]></description>
