When samples of the so called mermaid flesh were sent to a lab it was dicarded and marked contaminated with human DNA and inconclusive.

The first hint that the video is fictional is when the creators used cartoons to show what they believed the " mermaids" would look like. Then they moved on to say that parts of a mermaid's body was found inside a shark but was confiscated they did this in order to not have to fully explain the body. The documentary then used an actual anomaly to try and explain their ridiculous claim that mermaids are real by saying that it occurred again just before a body was located. It then said that there were intelligent weapons or tools found where in reality they were random items forced together to prove a point. But the king of the castle is when the scientists apparently send samples to a lab for testing the results come back inconclusive and the samples conveniently destroyed for the same reason the body was "taken", to stop an further investigation of the DNA. Just as a note the documentary was fake but was viewed in a real manner for Sake of argument.
