I make art because it relaxes me and I really enjoy it. I always enjoyed looking at other people's pieces because it sometimes inspires me to work harder. The materials I use mostly is clay because I like the feel of the clay but also because I can make some interesting things and it's easier than drawing. The processes I like to use is the wheel because it makes better cylinders than I can when I hand build things. Art is important to me because it just speaks to me and impresses me and i just really enjoy looking at art it also relaxes me. The three pieces i choose where apart of a horror phase I got into.

This is a screfito tile of a baby head with tentacles. I made it out of red clay. what I did was wedge the clay, slap roll it, cut it into a square, paint the background black, let it dry, printed the picture, traced it, then I scratched the parts I wanted to show. fired it once then put shiny glaze on and it was done.

his piece is a wooden box with two baby heads inside. I took a wooden box and painted the outside black, then I painted the inside red and white. I made the baby heads out of red and white clay. To make them I grabed clay wedged it and then I slap rolled it and placed it in a baby head mold I sliped and scored the two sides of the baby head mold wrapped the whole thing in plastic to set. The next class period i un wrpped it and took the molds apart and had baby heades.then I cleaned the heads up to where there where some cracks but not that many. Then I put a line through one of the head's eye and put an X through the other head's eye. I sprayed black underglaze all over both heads to make the cracks and other things pop. The white one I put a clear shiny glaze on. And the red one I put a tacky not shiny glaze. After they both got fired I put a special glue on the bottoms of them and put the glue on the bottom of the box and put the heads on the bottom of the box let it sit and it was finished

This piece is a clay box with a women's face and claws. I made this out of 5 squares of white clay How i made it was I grabed clay wedged it slap rolled it and then traced a square template and cut the square out. I put one square on the bottom. I used the angle cutter on all sides of the squares. Rapped it all up in plastic. Then I went to the library a different day and printed off a woman's face and claws. Came back to class pulled out the pieces and traced the women's face with claws on one piece. Then traced the claws on the remaining pieces. Then I scored and slip all pieces and placed them together. After I had a complete box I cleaned the inside and outside corners with clay and slip. Fired it. Glazed it and fired it again. Then took it home.
