A rough picture at that moment was enough to shape what needs to be done later.<br><br>There will be more reading which needs to be done because I am not so fond of the topics and it is pretty cool that we are about to take on from the aspects of Health Physics and Optics.          <description><![CDATA[<div>My understanding from today's meeting:<br>&gt; Phase-matching of surface plasmon excite the Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) - apabila frekuensi cahaya = frekuensi plasmonic, ia boleh 'excite' satu electromagnetic wave yang dipanggil sebagai SPR<br>&gt; SPR - commonly using gold thin film ~50-100nm<br>&gt; LSPR - gold nanoparticle ~5-15nm<br><br>Next, what we have to do is working on Optic Fiber (OF) in Comsol.&nbsp;<br>&gt; Use 'Finite Element Method' to find the Single Mode Fiber (SMF) and Multi Mode Fiber (MMF)<br>&gt; Find the absorption peak of LSPR using different size of gold np deposited on OF<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&gt; From here, we can find the suitable LSPR peak for X-ray/Gamma-ray (depending on what available in lab)<br>&gt; Then we can proceed to 'build' a gold np deposited on OF-colorimetric-dosimeter irradiated with a range of X-ray/Gamma-ray depending on the size of gold np</div>]]></description>

We discussed how much more we needed to understand the application of optical fiber in Comsol.&nbsp;<br><br>Highlights from the meeting.<br>1) Simulation<br>- Do single-mode fiber &amp; multi-mode fiber by using the Finite Element Method. (separate)<br>- Carry out simulation for max absorption of LSPR by using diff. sizes of Ag np which is deposited on optical fiber.<br><br>2) Exposure of Ag np over radiation.<br>- whichever is available in UTM lab.<br>(UV, gamma, etc)<br><br>-synthesize Ag np.<br>- do absorption (max) process.<br>- radiate it and see the effect.<br><br>3) Dosimeter.</div>]]></description>
