In the psychic example, the heart would want to speak to deceased loved ones, while the brain knows not to wast money on a psychic. Connection: This is not meant to offend anyone, it is just a relative image. Science takes a long time to understand, whereas, in religion, the rules and beliefs are already preset, so it is easy to believe because it doesn't require as much effort. In many religions, there is a story of "the beginning", and science says it was the big bang theory. To some, religious stories are unrealistic, and to others, the big bang theory is unrealistic.
