Wonder is a novel about a ten-year-old boy named August “Auggie” Pullman and how he struggles with going to a regular school for the first time. He has a facial abnormality that had caused him to be home-schooled most of his life, until now. Auggie ultimately learns to embrace the way he is and show others kindness, compassion, and what it means to be a true friend.
I would recommend this book to third grade and older. While this book has made an impact on all ages, I feel as though elementary students can relate to the characters in this book and also learn about acceptance.

With the help of her friends Albert and Keisha, and her teacher Mr. Daniels, Ally finds confidence in herself and accepts her dyslexia.
I would recommend this book to grades four and higher.
