We think this topic is very important because in today’s world there is a lot of inequality between the economic classes. I think it’s sad that the top 62 richest people in the world have the same wealth combine of 3.6 billion people, that is incredible we can’t live in a world like this, we must change that. There is only a few people that are extremely rich at the same time where there is a lot people extremely poor. I think that there's should be more laws making the minimum wage higher for example in Mexico which is about 70 pesos a day, that’s not a good about not even to have a decent life but to survive.

Income Inequality in the Families of the United States

Summary: In the United States the income inequality has been in a uptrend since the 1970s. The top 1 percent (of a family's income)captured half of the income growth between 2009 and 2013 and in 15 states they captured all income growth. For a us family to be in the top 1 percent there has to be a total income of 389,436 usd, this means that 2 family members would need to have a job in the top paid jobs (Medics, Marketing managers, and Engineers). Also between 2009 and 2013 this 1 percent of the families represented the 85% growth in all United States, this means that only 80,000 out of the 80,000,000 families in the us represent that growth. This statistics brought that the top 1 percent of the families made an income of 25 times as much as the other 99 percent of the families.

The main reason of why we chose this topic was that the income inequality was present in the income of a single person, but after i made a research i found out that also in the united states the income of the families is controlled by only 1 percent of them ,yes only 1 percent, this means that the 99 percent of families in the united states does not even get close to the 50,000 usd income. The 1 percent of the families in the united states had a 25 times higher income than the other 99 percent. I think that the US has to find a solution to this problem starting from a more equal pays in jobs.
