- conflict: The main characters are all having big issues. - I felt bad for all of the characters. They all are going through really bad situations and it is really sad to see who they lose on the way.
- Josef's father was mentally ill and when they finally got to see eachother again Josef's father was totally different and that made me really sad.
- Isabel has to leave everything behind including her friends and house so they can maybe have a better life. Sadly the boat ride doesn't go as it was supposed to and it made me really tense.

I dont have powers and I dont live in a fantastical world, so I couldn't relate. Mare (the mc) also has had her father lose a lung in a war and has had a brother pass away. I've never had a sibling or parent be fatally injured or even pass, so I cant relate to that either. Lastly, Mare is VERY important. Mare and her comrads are trying to overthrow a very unjust king. She is so important she may aswell be the leader.
