         <title>The k-8 school model is archaic not 21st century. If the Reaves property is purchased it is big enough to allow for a new elementary and a middle school. You also need to examine priories north of poplar and repurpose the buildings we already own.</title>

We live within walking distance to DES, HMS and HHS. Rumors about rezoning would mean that my child (current 2nd grader) would be asked to ride a bus or be driven to Winchester when we can currently walk to our schools.          <title>Nice meeting last night to discuss options. &amp;nbsp;Would have preferred it 6-12 months ago PRIOR to GMSB recommending a site, which biases the process and is certainly backwards (Proper - collect information then pick a site, vs. Improper - collect some information, pick a site, THEN ask citizens their opinion). &amp;nbsp;Odd way of making decisions. &amp;nbsp;Anyway, never heard about the 40 acre site for sale at Poplar and Forrest Hill Irene across from Target? &amp;nbsp;We were told you showed us ALL the sites in Germantown with 10 or more acres, but your list was not complete?! Also, mayor said the Poplar Pike-Forest Hill Irene site was NOT for sale at a 9/12/16 meeting, but it is for sale?! &amp;nbsp;Also, your safety criteria are odd, in that they do NOT consider crime rates. &amp;nbsp;Proximity to railways was on your list of safety criteria, but it is a non-issue per the NTSB and TN DOT office of railroad safety whom I contacted (contrary to Ms. Parker&#39;s comments about railroad dangers at a recent GMSB meeting). &amp;nbsp;Also, your safety criteria included proximity to power lines?! &amp;nbsp;Not aware of any legitimate scienfific data showing link to power lines and disease.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sites 6 &amp; 7 to accommodate SDP, however, sites 2, 3, &amp; 4 are more centrally located and can be turned into an Education Campus if and when we get GES and GMS back.  Building could be 2 levels.  ADA students first floor.  Older grades upstairs.  Access to learning experiences at Farm Park, Fire Station, Horse Show.  Road in place already. If permitted, could use the back half of the Cloyes property, too, keeping the front part of Oaklawn Gardens intact preserving the history that Mr. Cloyes worked so hard to maintain. <br> </div>]]></description>

         <title>Use of areas that are not likely destined for residential development</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There seems to be a consensus that the areas closer to Winchester, that may be destined for residential development are poor locations for a school.&nbsp; The thinking is that this will drive property values down.&nbsp; If we use green space in a better, more central location, it will not affect residential development.&nbsp; If green space is used in central Germantown location, the property values for older homes and for new development are more likely to hold/appreciate.&nbsp; Long term tax revenue and community impact will be felt if property is not placed well.&nbsp; Families move to Germantown for the schools.&nbsp; I am praying that the city government discussions are based on long term results/consequences.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If growth in Germantown is moving East as the presentation showed tonight, why is there a requirement that the school is south of Poplar? There aren't a lot of good options for land south of Poplar, so sites North of Poplar should be considered. After all as you move east on Poplar less and less of Germantown is south of Poplar. Johnson Road Park would be a good location, there are likely others as well. Anything close to Winchester is not viable. Our schools should not be on the borders of our city, they should be buffered and surrounded by neighborhoods. 3 G's also need to be a priority. - Keith White</div>]]></description>
