They then get to research that word and can make a prediction about what they think the word means before looking up the real definition. Then have them try to use the word in a sentence. They will be more likely to remember this word later on because they chose it and looked into it.  

Advantages: Good for non visual learners. Easy to teach how to use. Allows students to take control of their own learning. 

Disadvantages: Not the best for visual learners or students deterred from book work. Can be time consuming depending on the students and the words chosen.

For ELL: Have the ELL student look into a book in their own language and fill it out will them. For ELL: Allow the students to write the adjectives in their native language. Disadvantages: Dice are easy to lose. More advanced learners could be bored. Not always good for expressive words or words that would have no image.
