Name: Kelly Chong Kha Eng
Matric Number: A181178
Date: 13/8/2023 - 19/8/2023

1. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
Yes, the objectives of the project were fulfilled, as evidenced by the significant progress made throughout the various phases of the digital painting journey. At the outset, the project aimed to take the participant's skills from a beginner to an advanced level in digital painting, and this goal was achieved through a systematic and comprehensive approach.

Starting with foundational exercises in phase 1, such as drawing human eyes and exploring digital brushes, the participant laid the groundwork for their artistic development. This phase provided a strong understanding of fundamental techniques and tools, setting the stage for more complex challenges.

Phase 2 expanded the participant's skills by delving into coloring techniques, color theory, and creating textured effects. The participant learned how to pick harmonious color palettes, blend colors seamlessly, and simulate various textures to enhance the visual appeal of their artworks.

In phase 3, the participant ventured into more advanced areas, including character design, landscape painting, and still life. By mastering the art of character design, they gained the ability to craft distinct and emotionally resonant characters. Learning to depict environments allowed them to evoke specific atmospheres and emotions, while the study of still life honed their observation skills and storytelling abilities.

The successful completion of phase 4, which covered colorized painting and photorealistic painting, marked a pinnacle of achievement. The participant gained insights into advanced techniques like color theory, lighting, shadow rendering, texture replication, and realistic color matching. These skills enabled them to create artwork with a high degree of realism and artistic sophistication.

Overall, the participant's journey showcased significant growth in both technical expertise and artistic expression. From foundational exercises to complex challenges, the objectives of progressing from a beginner to an advanced level were fully met. The participant's ability to confidently navigate various painting styles, techniques, and digital tools is a testament to the project's success in fulfilling its objectives.

2. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
Over the course of four phases, my digital painting journey has been a captivating and rewarding process. Beginning with foundational skills in phase 1, I progressed from a beginner to an advanced level by mastering the art of drawing human features and understanding the intricacies of digital brushes. In phase 2, I honed my understanding of color theory, color blending, and creating textured effects, allowing my artwork to stand out with vibrant and engaging visuals. The exploration of character design and facial expressions deepened my ability to infuse personality and emotion into my art. Transitioning to phase 3, I embarked on a creative adventure, mastering landscape painting to evoke distinct atmospheres and emotions. The meticulous art of still life painting refined my observation skills and storytelling capabilities through everyday objects. Finally, phase 4 broadened my horizons by introducing me to the world of colorized and photorealistic painting. Through these phases, I've gained insights into color theory, brush techniques, lighting, texture replication, and more, forming a strong foundation for my digital art journey. This process has not only expanded my creative toolkit but also heightened my enjoyment and appreciation for the art of digital painting.

3. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
As I started my journey into digital painting, I encountered a bunch of challenges that I was eager to conquer. At the beginning, the digital tools and software were confusing, but I didn't give up. I watched lots of online tutorials and practiced until I got the hang of it. Making my digital art look like it had textures from real paints was tough, but I played around with different brushes and settings until I got cool effects. Picking colors that looked good together was tricky, so I took some online classes to learn how colors work. I also made my own special brushes by trying out different things. Making things look 3D with light and shadows was hard, but I looked at how light falls on stuff in real life and practiced that in my art. Drawing people right took time and learning from pictures, and I got better after lots of practice. Making my art look the same all through the picture was a challenge, but I learned to plan it out and stick to the plan. Sometimes I got stuck with ideas, but I learned to just try things and not worry too much. Learning new tools and tricks in my painting software was easier with practice and talking to other artists online. Each challenge I faced was like a puzzle to solve, and as I worked on them, I got better and better at digital painting.

4. What has really worked?
My journey in digital painting was marked by several key factors that greatly contributed to my progress. Online resources, like tutorials and communities, provided valuable guidance and instruction, while regular practice and persistence were essential in honing my skills over time. Experimenting with different brushes and techniques allowed me to discover my own style and creative preferences. Learning from fellow artists through discussions and feedback enriched my understanding of the craft. Reference materials, whether photographs or real-world objects, played a crucial role in enhancing the realism and depth of my artworks. Setting achievable goals and breaking down challenges into manageable steps prevented overwhelm and kept me motivated. Patience became my ally as I embraced the understanding that skill development is a gradual process. Engaging in personal projects fueled my passion and individual expression, while seeking feedback from others provided valuable insights for improvement. Reflecting on my progress by comparing my current work to my earlier pieces showcased the strides I had made. By approaching challenges as learning opportunities, I was able to overcome obstacles and continually evolve my digital painting abilities.

5. What can be improved in this project?
Upon assessment, there are avenues for improvement within both the digital courses and interpersonal development aspects of this project. Within the digital courses, introducing personalized learning paths tailored to participants' skill levels and preferences could enhance engagement and ensure targeted learning. Incorporating interactive exercises, quizzes, and hands-on projects might deepen understanding by applying concepts in practical scenarios. Real-time feedback during lessons or assignments could provide immediate insights for learners to rectify errors swiftly. Integrating real-world applications and case studies would bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing participants for real creative challenges. Additionally, diversifying instructional styles to accommodate different learning preferences could optimize content delivery.

On the interpersonal development front, fostering peer collaboration through collaborative projects could cultivate a sense of community and mutual learning. Mentorship opportunities from seasoned artists could accelerate growth through personalized guidance. Periodic critique sessions involving instructors and peers could facilitate constructive feedback and pinpoint areas for refinement. Including modules on time management, goal setting, and effective communication could enrich participants' soft skills, contributing to holistic artistic and professional development. Incorporating a spectrum of diverse artists and their techniques would broaden participants' creative perspectives. Lastly, guidance on portfolio creation could equip participants to present their work effectively in professional contexts. By refining both course content and interpersonal aspects, this project could offer participants a more comprehensive and impactful learning journey.

Name: Addyrio Madais
Matric number: A182264
Date: 13/8 - 19/8

Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
Yes, though there are still many work that need to be done but overall I can say that I manage to achieve all of the objective that I set before.

My first objective is to learn about the biology of plants although my knowledge about plants and herbs is still very shallow but throughout this project I'm able to learn the basic as the foundation for next time that I want to further my study about this topic

My second objective is to learn about the plants that my community use. From small fungi to tall trees, I manage to learn and put all of the information for each plants that Dusun people use in their day to day into papers.

My third objective is to learn about the herbs that my community use. As one of the expected outcome from my project, I manage to produce a mini write up on the potential herbs that Dusun people use in treating and managing illness and health problems.

And lastly my fourth objective is to connect back with my roots and tradition. Throughout this project I was able to learn a lot about the custom and tradition of The Dusun people from the elders of my community. I even start to speak more fluently in my native tongue which is the Dusun language.

hat have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
Of course the learning process where I start to learn the use and function each plants and herbs and to add on that I actually study them in their own habitat making it more exciting. I also love when I'm able to enter the forest again, the melancholy feelings just bring back my childhood memories. Every time I see, hear and feel the forest it just bring ease to all of my worries and problems.

What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
The process itself for me is very challenging but my biggest problem is to be discipline and to do the work on time. For me that is very hard to do.

What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)
For sure my expected outcome which is my mini write up and my mini book. Yes there is still thing that I need to finish and correct it but overall I can say that they are more that i expected because at the beginning I thought the goal that I set is very high but in the end they turn out very well.

What can be improved in this projects
I think it is the quality of my camera. The picture that I take is not that good so some of the video and pic turn out to be a bit blurry. Another things is more class that I can take such as plant morphology and taxonomy so that I don't need to take hours to understand a research papers.

Syamima Binti Mohd Zaidi
A184220
20/8/2023
1.	Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
Yes, I have successfully completed my project which is creating a hospital website called Cookie’s Hospital.

2.	What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
I enjoyed learning new skill which is programming and I think I have expanded my knowledge in IT. I enjoyed having discussion with my instructor as well, as he gave me a lot of constructive comments that I could apply not only in creating website but in other professional aspects as well.

3.	What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)
I find it difficult to really figure out the user interface and designing a user friendly website. I have to do a lot of research on websites that are user friendly. Initially I wanted to create a more interesting feature on the website but I find that it is way beyond my level to do that. So, I just settled for the simplest website I could create which is suitable for beginners like me. Also, debugging is really difficult. Debugging is a process of figuring out what causes the error in your website. I have to be very particular and try to see each code carefully so it is time consuming.

4.	What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)
I think I am really proud of the outcome of the website although it looks very simple but it works fine. I am really proud of a feature that I added called ‘carousel’, which are the pictures that could slide when you press the left or right button.

5.	What can be improved in this project?
If I had more time, I would make my website appear more beautiful with better colour and fonts. Also, I would like to add more interesting features on my website. Overall, I think If I’ve been given more time to finish this website, it would be better and more user friendly but this is good as a start.

Ahmad Mateen Bin Mahmood Ahmad Tanveer
A180914
Date: 20/8/23

1. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?
Let us review back what were the objectives
1. Obtain a general idea of what is computer science.
2. Learn the basics of computer languages such as python, HTML and JAVAscript.
3. Learn how do I apply learnt knowledge about computer science

I would say yes, yes i did. I believe I acquired a comprehensive understanding of what computer science is and how to apply it to daily activities. As for the languages learnt? I learned C, Python, Javascript, Html, SQL, CSS, and Flask, which more than suffices for the objectives of this elective posting. I walked into this course unbeknowing of the depth of the learning curve im about to encounter, but to my pleasant surprise, I have acquired enough skills to prepare me for creating my own projects in the future.

2. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?
The satisfaction from coding and designing my own code which works exactly how I intend it to. It was a mesmerizing and fulfilling experience for me to immerse myself in the countless hours in front of my computer to finish the by all means not easy tasks from the course. And I had the most fun while doing my final project because it meant I can do whatever I wanted and implement it to my daily life.

3. What have you found challenging about this project? (any part of the project you found hard to do)]
Memorising the syntax of different languages and implementing the vast amount of functions required to make a website or code more user friendly. I believe I have not fully grasped all the functions available in any of the languages i learnt, which I plan to learn in the future.

4. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)
Throughout this course, it has taught me a lot more than just coding, it taught me patience, resilience, the motivation to strive to achieve what was before this unthinkable. It made me believe that I can do more, that if i put my heart into it, i can achieve it. Critical thinking, decision making, all played a role in this course and helped me further strengthen these values. I believe these things matter more than the coding knowledge I acquired.

5. What can be improved in this project?
Maybe the resources and websites i referenced were not adequate to make remarkable websites, thus I plan to further explore the world of programming and implement any websites that I want, hopefully that would help the medical field.
Next task? Machine learning.

Hani Shaheerah binti Arif

A183586

14th - 18th August 2023

1. Were the objectives of the project fulfilled?

Yes, I believe I have given my all in fulfilling all of the four objectives I have set before embarking on this course.

The first objective to develop professional and ethical problem-solving, legal analysis & application, quantitative reasoning, investigation and scientific laboratory procedures abilities. Although I might lack hands-on practical skills for the laboratory procedure, I do understand how the procedure is done.

Secondly, the objective to apply diverse information to solve real-life problems, is a success in my opinion as I was able to complete all of my assignments and quizzes with ease, and with improved results compared to my first week’s attempt.

Thirdly, to obtain a conceptual understanding of the criminal justice system and the approach to analyze evidence without bias. The beautiful growth of forensic science this course had taught me from hundreds of years ago up to this day has made me more aware of the justice system our people have thrived on in order to maintain peace.

Last but not least, to recognize the relations between forensic medicine and forensic science. For example, in cases of suspected poisoning, forensic toxicologists (forensic science) analyze bodily fluids and tissues to detect the presence of toxic substances. A forensic pathologist may perform an autopsy to examine the deceased person's organs and provide information about the effects of the poison on the body.

2. What have you enjoyed or liked the most about the project?

I would say that I enjoyed attempting the quizzes the most regarding this project. This is because I can test my understanding very well. However, if I would have to pick a topic that amused me the most, it would be the topic on time of death. I think that determining the time and cause of death in cases that are not as straightforward really intrigued my curiosity.

3. What have you found challenging about this project?

(any part of the project you found hard to do)

I would say the second case study on Ruritania: The Sturgkh Assasination seemed quite challenging to me. It was a more complex case compared to the Ang Mo Kio case I’ve worked on during my second week. Nevertheless, I’ve learned a lot from reading my peer’s answers while grading them afterwards. The rubric also had helped me in seeing through the cases very thoroughly.

4. What has really worked? (any part in the project that you thought worked well)

The last few cases we’ve discussed were really intense as they’ve included all aspects of evidence and lab tests to be reviewed. However, with the help of my Professor, I was able to understand all of the cases really well from a different perspective.

5. What can be improved in this project?

This project is really a wondrous method in getting to know forensic science in depth with such convenient access. If there were to be any room for improvements, I think it would be on the interactions between peers during the course. Having a verbal discussion with peers all around the world with the goal of hunting for crime suspects would be absolutely thrilling in my opinion.
