Men used to have a “rock” style, unlike men now. Being honest, it was more attractive and stylish. 
Talking about women, according to my search on internet, fashion hasn’t changed too much, I mean, the way they used to dress is coming back. There were some funky outfits, but fortunately they aren’t coming back.

It is not that we wear other types of clothing, but what did changed were the styles in the parties  partys and offices and also we have new colors that were created for our clothes.

Talking about clothes 40 years ago , not so much have changed.  However, as an example it would be the hairstyles that have changed a lot, 40 years ago the hairstyles were more elegant and fine and now there is everything, then in the clothes if I change at parties since 40 years ago ????they went more formal to parties and now with a shirt and jeans it's fine, it's like if before it was a little more important to be well dressed.
Another small example is that in the offices the women went with a jacket and skirt together with a hat, all the very solid clothes????? of a single color and the men, as always, with a suit always looks good, that custom has been going on for more than 70 years.

However, it also contrasts and matches with the current fashion we go back to the old fashion where women want to imitate the style of elegance, freshness and confidence,unlike for men who want to wear a more rock style, daring;likewise, men and women have the same goal of looking attractive.


The fashion of now with that of 40 years ago has changed a lot, since most women used skirts or long dresses with belts cinched at the waist to highlight their body figure more; in contrast, to the present that makes women's clothing attract a little more attention than it did 40 years ago. However, not both fashion styles seek to highlight the figure of the woman's body as years ago, unlike the style of women 40 years ago. Today many women prefer a more comfortable style and not as tight to the body. Both styles always trying to be used as trendy,elegant, with solid colors but at the same time loud clothes, making you look good with what you're wearing and for the required occasion.

For example, in Bolivia, the Andean ponchos and the attire worn by the ladies of the Bolivian highlands are still used.

In contrast, 40 years ago the dresses worn by women weren't combined with sneakers; for the ideal reason that elegant dresses were worn for an important party or a 15-year-old. Nonetheless, for men, comparing  the clothing of before with that now, it can be said that it is the same because there have been no radical changes in their way of dressing; except the way how the men were their pants now.

The Fashion that we have today is very flexible, we have all kinds of fashion garments from different eras and a wide variety of trends, whether in clothes, shoes, haircuts and even accessories being  from my point of view this is very good since There will always be something on trend for everyone's taste, although sometimes most people do not fully like the things on trend.
Personally,  I really like the fashion of the 80's and I think we should bring it back.

For example at that this time women dressed in long dresses, short dresses, or just tight clothes, to highlight their figure and make them look elegant For example, when a person was going to get married they used a long dress, high heels, gloves and a hat that covered the face and now talking about speaking for the men, they also used elegant suits to highlight their figure, it can be said that at in that time men were more modern in that aspect. Comparing how it was before now, women look for clothes that make them feel comfortable, regardless of pleasing someone because of the way they dress, but on the one hand, the fashion of before returned, such as short or long dresses., in the In the case of men, they now wear casual clothing, also to feel comfortable and in the case of special ceremonies; some elegant clothing. In my opinion, I think that people in the aspect of dress are more liberal.

Without a doubt, the style of clothing from before left a great impact on the world of fashion. Compared to today's fashion, it can be said that fashion has changed a lot over time, but without losing its elegance.
Today we can see more garments with solid colors and not very flashy.
Before the garments were more adjusted to the figure of the body today people want to feel more comfortable.
Finally, in my opinion, each person has their own style of dress and their own fashion to follow.
The most important thing is that the person feels good in what they are wearing and feels confident in what they are wearing.

Well , 40 years ago leather and sequins were in fashion; and denim became an icon and everyone used it, no only the workers; similarly to what some people like to wear now regardless of color. Likewise, 40 years ago platform shoes and lycra were and are now used. Mini skirts, skinny pants, heaters and baggy pants it's actually a fashion brought from 40 years ago.
The colors of the clothes also changed a bit since 40 years ago they used more neon colors while now they use pastel colors and some darker or lighter ones.
The clothes that were used to go to a party were the women wearing a cocktail dress and the men their suits, either the men wear the tie of the color of the woman's dress, like now. However, before women had to wear heels whereas now they can wear sneakers.

My mom passed ass her best years in 90s, but my aunts told me that 80s was very flashy. Like the girls of the 80s, my aunts wore long wide jeans and hip pants.
While my Selena aunt Selena wore tops with very strong colors, my Martha auntMartha  hadn’t worn.
The 80s fashion consisted in wearing  wore coats, t-shirts, skirts, like Madonna wore.
The fashion has changed  changes a lot and if you notice it, you will see that this fashion is coming back to us and more for the girls.

I always like the fashion of the 80s and 90s. In  contrast , I hate the fashion of the 2000.
I have a question that can be a good topic to discuss I think:

I guess it is because fashion always comes back; however there are always things that of course are different.

For example, Punk fashion in the United States was very simple, jeans, t-shirts and leather jackets, like groups as the Ramones. Similarly in nowadays we are still wearing leather jackets and plaid long sleeve t-shirt as in the 80’s. TheJeans with holes broken were also high waist, likewise noadays in our days you can see many people wearing these kind of jeans in the street. Like teens in the 80’s, teens in nowadays wear bomber jackets. 

Unlike women in the 80’s, in nowadays, women don’t wear dotted or plaid short sleeve dresses for parties, that sounds very funky, currently women wear cocktail dresses. Hair cuts the 80’s were a bit flashy for me with those curls, in contrast, hair cuts in nowadays are more like in the 90’s. Makeup in nowadays tries to look more natural with brown tones whereas in the 80’s it was very colorful with very flashy eyeliners and also eyebrows.

Everybody used to wear funky clothes and they still had a big influence from the 50's. Like now, it was a mixure of styles and a form of expression. Girls used to wear colorful and flashy clothes; skirts, striped shirts, high-waisted jeans and short blouses. Similarly, today we can still see many people wearing this type of clothes, and more now, that back-waisted jeans are back in fashion.

Boys used to wear more cassual and simple clothes. Jeans, plaid t shirts and jackets were trendy. In contrast, this days, boys tend to add more accessories to their look to not make it look so simple. For example. chains or holes in the jeans. In addition, music was also very influential at this time, as with Madonna, who made her style a trend until today. In conclution, fashion always comes back.

In 1980 fashion was louder than now. Clothes clouths were with strong colours while now is not too much. NowadaysThis years people wear cloths more subdued clothes. However, there are some fashion clothes cloths that are loud for special occasions.

The Fashion clothes  clouths that we can see in many pictures and movies of the 80s were was jeans and jackets. Many women woman andmen man wore jeans and blue jackets. In contrast, now women woman prefer long dresses or pants. However,men Man still wear jeans like fourty years ago. But the style of the jeans has had changed.

In conclusion , the fashion of 40 years ago has had a big influence on people. Similarity like now. However, the style has changed and it will continue changing as the years go by.

To begin with, there are many differences between what our parents used to wear versus what we wear today although as we can see fashion is coming back and in my opinion it is a combination of styles.

The 80s were liberal where people wanted to demostrate their way of thinking, their ideas in an unconventional way. In contrast what they used to wear a couple of years before. Now we are supposed to look our own trend but being realistic we do not pay so much attention in it. Similarly, my mother was not interested in clothes.

To analyze and give some comparisons we can start talking about colors. Before most people dressed in loud colors while now we prefer subdued colors. However, now there is a mixture of many colors wherever you go.

Another Other example could be leggings, people wear them to exercise or to go out for something casual but without designs, now if there are leggings with designs they are made for children.

As a final point, I believe that we have changed a lot our way of dressing throughout the years and of course clothing has been and will be a good topic to talk about for a casual conversation.

Furthermore, there were people wearing wide pants; similarly, today we can see people using those types of pants too. Like for semi formal meeting today, women wore log sleeved or short sleeved cocktail dress for those meetings. When you wanted to go to some elegant place  pleace  you had to wear some outfit graceful; likewise, today we do the same. 

People had to wear loud colors for almost every situation; however, today is more common to see people wearing dark colors.

To conclude, people are still wearing a lot of clothes, for not to say the same, that we can see in the 80's because that fashion don't die.
