Hope : For this Usrah 1, I really hope I can enhance my knowledge and get myself closer to Him.

Quran Reflection

• Allah has provide everything in the Quran.

• Quran is one of the solution when we are facing problem.

• those who did a good actions will get a good reward, and those who did a bad actions will get punishment.

• no matter how many our sins are, we still need to return to Allah.

• Allah will not burden you, indeed he will test you based on what you can bear.

2. hadith jibril

• for this week, we focus on the five pillars of islam ; Shahadah, Salah, Zakah, Sawm, Hajj.

1. tadabbur surah Al-fatihah, in relation to belief in Allah.

   
   

• Allah is the most Gracious and the most Merciful.

• Allah is the Lord of the world.

• Allah is the master of the day of judgement (people will be judge on the basis of their deeds).

• We only worship to Him and ask help from Him.

• We asks Allah to guide us to the straight path.

2. tadabbur surah Al-infitar verse 10-12, in relation to belief in angels.

• All of our action and intention will be observed by them.

• Angels are responsible for recording all of a person's deeds.

• We always need to remember that we need to take care of our behaviour because everything will be presented on the Day of Judgement.

3. Undestanding on The Belief in Kutub and its relationship with The Belief in Allah and The Belief in Angels.

   
   

• Belief in Kutub is one of the pillars of Iman.

• To relate it with The Belief in Allah; Kutub is a divine scriptures that had been revealed by Allah in order to guide all the people. By believing in Kutub, it makes us belief that Allah as the ultimate guide and lawgiver.

• In Quran, Allah also stated the role of the angels. We need to belief in Angels as all of our action will be observed and recorded by them.

1. Believe in Rasul.

In surah Nuh, Allah had mention about the story of Prophet Nuh. There is also a story about a challenge that Prophet Nuh had faced before. He has migrated for 950 years and the results, he only has 75 to 80 of followers.

2. Believe in Qiyamah.

There are few signs of Qiyamah ;

• Dukhan

• Emergence of Dajjal

• Sun arise from west

• The descent of Prophet Isa

• Ya'juj and Ma'juj

• Three stages of earthquakes

• Fire come from Yemen

3. Believe in Qada' and Qadar

• Qada is firm and unchangeable, while Qadar is preordained but it can be changed by effort, actions, or du’a.

1. Ihsan ; doing good, fulfilling duties or completing any productive task with excellence, care, and best effort. The word “ihsan” comes from arabic root حسن, which means beauty, goodness and perfection.

   
   

• There are 4 key of ihsan that we can highlights which is ;

i. Verified faith : Faith with awareness and mindfulness of Allah.

ii. Ikhlas : Prioritize seeking Allah's pleasure over anything or anynone else.

iii. Sunnah : can reminds us of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in our daily actions.

iv. Solat : Reciting the doa of "attahiyatu" makes us feel that we are at the presence of Allah.

2. Eschatology : Study of the events that will occur before, during, and after the Day of Judgement based on teachings of Quran and Hadith.

• Muslim need to belief in the Day of Judgment

• There are two exposition of eschatology ;

i. heaven : it is a place where all the rewards of our good deeds will be granted.

ii. hell : it is a place where all the punishments of our bad deeds will be given.

1. Adab towards parents

   • Based on surah maryam verse 41-50 ; story of Prophet Ibrahim with His father

   • We should communicate with our parents with a proper words

   • We should bring our parents to the right path together

   
   

2. Adab towards neighbour

   • visit them when they are not in a good condition

   • share foods together

3. Adab as a Students

   • Focus in class

   • Follow the instructions given

   • Do all the assignments

   • Be punctual

• Nature and environment is a gift from Allah for all human to utilize it to the fullest.

• Every each of us have responsibilities to take care of it.

  
  

Ways to connect with nature ;

• Watch sunrise and sunset

• Listen to bird sound

• Hiking

Benefits ;

• reduce stress

• improve creativity

• maintaining a good mental health

As a muslim, we need to remember that taking care of the nature and environment is not just a moral ethical, but it can also be recognized as form of worship towards Allah (Ibadah).

Khalas, the Usrah 1 session for Semester 2 has come to an end. Alhamdulillah, these sessions have provided me with a lot of knowledge, that can help me to boost my understanding and become more knowledgeable. What made it even more enjoyable was the opportunity to learn new things with my new friends ! I love this Usrah session as it allowed me to connect with people from different courses as well.

Overall, I really enjoyed this experience. I have promised myself that i will apply all the knowledge that i have gained in my daily life, Insyaallah. I hope i can still continue seeking beneficial knowledge in future to strengthen my faith and make me grow as a true muslim.

1. Five times prayers

• develop self-discipline. Exp : Performing prayers without any delays.

• can spend our time with The Creator through Dua's

• prevent ourselves from commiting sins ;

  Amar ma'aruf, Nahi munkar

2. Fasting

• showing gratitude within ourselves

• cleanse both physical and spiritual

3. Paying Zakah

• create no boundaries between Asnaf and wealthy people

• share our rizq with those who are in need.

4. Performing Hajj

• Work as a reminder that all of us are same by Allah's sides as all of us are wearing the same clothes when performing the ibadah.

• Gather all muslims from all around the world.

Reminder ;

Basically, all of the Ibadah that we did is just not to show our obedience to Allah, but it is also important for ourselves as it can prevent us from any immoral behaviour.

Extra notes ;

Innamal a'malu binniyah,

wa innama likullimri'in ma nawa

Actions are judged by intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what they intended.

1. Strenghthen our relationship with Allah.

• Every act of worship reminds us of Allah and increases the consciousness of Him.

  
  

2. Make our life happier and easier

• We will feel more relax as we know that Allah is always with us.

  
  

3. Discipline and consistency

• In becoming a better muslim, we need to be istiqamah in every good things that we did, and it needs a discipline in oneself.

  
  

4. Gratefulness

• By performing Ibadah, we can showing our gratitude to The Creator by acknowledging our dependence on Him.

Sources of Ibadah

1. Quran

• Quran is the primary source of divine wisdom behind all acts of worship.

  
  

2. Hadith

• It explains the practical benefits and meanings behind worship.

1. Making Wudu'

• Wudu' must come with a niyah that we wants to purify ourselves before performing prayers.

2. Cleanliness

• Ensure the cleanliness of the place that we are going to use to perform the salah.

3. Recite A'uzubillah and Basmallah

• to prevent ourselves from Shaytan's whispers and to focus our heart and mind only for Allah.

4. Understand the recitation in the prayer.

• making prayers a meaningful moment that connect us with Allah.

5. Understand all the Zikr that we recite after performing prayers.

1. Guarantees Success

• Allah directly links true success to having khushu‘ in Salah.

“Certainly will the believers have succeeded – those who are humble in their prayer (khāshi‘ūn).”
— Surah Al-Mu’minun (23:1-2)

2. Bring inner peace and calm

• Khushu‘ helps the heart to feel calm and protected from stress, worries, and sadness.

3. Protect from sin and evil

• Salah with khushu‘ trains the soul to stay away from bad deeds.

4. Remind us of akhirah

• When we pray with khushu‘, we can feel the weight of standing alone before your Creator, just like how we will feels in yawm al qiyamah.

"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous"

- Surah Al-Baqarah (2:183)

1. Increase Taqwa

• awareness of Allah in every action

  
  

2. Forgiveness of Sins

• Especially during Ramadhan, the door of repentance is remain open, so we need to take the oppurtunity.

3. Purification of the soul

• Purify muslims hearts from worldly desires and bad habits.

4. Empathy and Compassion

• We can feel the struggle that faced by those people in need, and make us feel empathy towards them.

5. Increase more Ibadah

• Muslim will increase their ibadah when they're fasting as they know that they will earn more reward from Allah.

Hajj refers to a pilgrimage made to the Kaaba, the "House of Allah", in the sacred city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and it is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

1. Increase the Ukhwah between Muslims

• On that time, Muslim from around the world will gather in one place, and have the same intention.

2. Trains great spiritual and physical struggles

• Hajj requires sacrifice, patience, and discipline.

3. Complete forgiveness of sins

4. A symbol of submission to Allah

• All of the act of Hajj is the reflection of full submission to Allah's commands.

5. Controlling the Nafs during Hajj

• When we performing Hajj, there is 12 prohibitions that we must avoid.

Extra notes :

• Hajj is performed in Zulhijjah.

• Zulhijjah is one of the sacred months.

• It is a month where sins are more serious, and good deeds are more rewarded.

• There is a day called Arafah Day in Zulhijjah.

• It is a day of Mustajab Du'a.
