In red fern grows it start s of with seeing old billy who was about to be attack by a couple of hound`s . After that we see billy as a boy and he has no shoes and he had bad pants and shirt`s. Billy really wanted two hound pups he asked his dad and his mom offer and offer there answer was no they cap`t on telling him they don`t have the money. Finally the parents\dad got him a small bear trap and he was happy. The bear trap help`t him with the puppy love for a little bit he cached his cat a lot like 7 times, he cached lizard too but after caching the cat a lot he was not able to use his small bear trap. He started to worry about never having his hound in till he found some fisher man leaving he win`t offer there and found what he wanted 25$ of for two hound pups 75$ to 50$
