Lesson Title: "Strange New Ways to Get Around"

Objectives:

1. Students will work in groups to brainstorm and write  a creative story.

2. Students will present their work of writing short imaginary story.

Success Criteria:

1. Students can contribute ideas during group brainstorming.

2. Students can use their imagination to help create characters and settings.

3. Students can present their story with confident.

1. Sit in groups of 5/6.

2. Assign roles.

• Idea Sparkers (brainstorm the transport method)

• Scene Builders (decide where the story takes place)

• Writers (put it all into words)

• Illustrators (draw your unique transport)

• Presenters (share the final story with the class)

3. Group Writing Task - Writing Tree Map (30 minutes)

Each group creates a short story entitled “Strange New Ways to Get Around” based on these prompts:

• What is your new method of getting around?

• Where does the character need to go, and why?

• What’s the twist or challenge they face during the journey?

• How does your transport help—or make things harder?

Stories can be funny, adventurous, or even a little wacky. Use lots of rich and bombastic words!

In the quirky town of Tumbledown,people didn't walk or drive. Instead,they used strange ways to travel.

Mr.Pickle rode a giant tortoise named Thunder. He was always late- but always always smiling. Lulu Jenkins bounced everywhere on pogo stilts,even inside the library. And Timmy had roller skating-shoes shaped ad chickens that zipped through the streets really fast.

One day,a visitor from the city arrived and stared in confusion.

"Why doesn't anyone just walk?" She asked.

The townspeople laughed.

"Where's the fun is that?" Said Lulu.

And in Tumbledown,fun was the best way to get around.

On Monday at 8:00 a.m. in Meru, Faiz was ready to use a bus to go to school. But suddenly, the bus broke down, and there was no way to get to school. Everyone started to panic, but Faiz had an idea. His father, Ahmad, owned a giant remote-controlled car. Faiz, Ahmad, and Wati decided to ride in the giant car to get to school.

However, the car flew off into the wrong direction, and they ended up in a completely different place. Faiz, Ahmad, and Wati were panicking, but Ahmad had another idea. They climbed into the giant car again, and this time, it flew straight to the school.

In 2035,Mina choi invented cloud shoes,shoes that let people walk on air.The skies quickly filled with walkers,and traffic jams became a thing of the past.

But then strange things began:people vanished mid-step,birds acted strangely,and weird weather formed.Mina's sensors revealed the thruth the shoes weren't just pushing air,they were stepping on huge invisible creatures living in the atmosphere.

One of the creatures reached out,warning "stop or we will bring your world down"

Realizing the danger Mina halted the cloud shoes and redesigned them to float using magnets instead. The creatures remained undisturbed,and humanity learned to respect the skies and tread lightly.

His mother crossed her arms.''You're helping your grandpa clean the store today. trudged to his grandpa's old general store down the street .

When he stepped inside ,he found a watch with a shiny metal .Xander picked it up and twisted the crownd gently

BOOM!!!

A flash of light exploded around him, The air shoch, and everything span .When the dust settled, Xander looked around, wide- eyed. The store was gone .The streets were unfamiliar .Towering metal building reached the clouds and in that moment ,something hit him hard he didn't like it here .It felt lonely, empty....wrong .

A deep regret grew in his chest .He had wasted so much time indoors, ignoring the world and the people who care about him .

Determind ,he twisted the crownd on the watch again this time the other way .

BOOM!!!

He landed back in the store with a thud .

Today`s job: deliver a mysterious package. But as she engaged her drone`s slipstream, a syndicate drone tailing her every move. The syndicate didn`t just follow, they stole them. Sophie try to escape, but she realized something worse. The package wasn`t just valuable, it was trap. Designed to lure her into an ambush. With a risky maneuver, Sophie escape.

The syndicate drone falling behind. The package was safe for now. But she knew they new they gonna follow her again. Not long after, they comeback, this time she escaped to and the package arrive safely.
