I think your research topic is really interesting. I've never read any Cao Wenxuan's work, but I think your topic is really compelling. 
I did a quick search on Cao Wenxuan, and saw that his works are relatively recent. What types of culture will you try to express, considering the recent works of Cao Wenxuan. Try to narrow down your topic.
