Every presenter that rarely make presentation, they do not know how to avoiding eye contact. Meeting a person's gaze establishes a personal connection, and even a quick glance can keep people engaged. If your audience is small enough, try to make eye contact with each individual at least once. If the audience is too large for this, try looking at people's foreheads. The individual may not interpret it as eye contact, but those sitting around them will.

For my opinion, a good oral presentation must consist with a good software to use beside powerpoint. Powerpoint is very old school or clichéd enough to attract audiences. Presentation need to be something unique, simple and creative to be impress with. Software that provide this quality is Prezi, Pawtoon and any online presentation software with good reviews. Include some cool or funny images in presentation to attract audiences.
