The TriClip G4 is a prosthetic heart valve for tricuspid regurgitation. It stemmed from the innovation of the MitraClip for mitral regurgitation. It does not replace the valve but repairs it. It is inserted transcutaneously and can be a safer alternative to patients at high mortality/morbidity risk of heart surgery. It is less invasive than than many alternative approaches for tricuspid regurgitation and was approved by the FDA April 21, 2024. Since, it does not replace the valve, it does not require anticoagulation and can be removed at a later time for alternative interventions.(Barker & Goel, 2023)
