You must have heard about the Corona Virus, if you havent you have been living under a rock .Soon after the first cases the doctors and official science health organisation decided to specify it COVID-19 that's what we now call it.This deadly disease starts of with minor symptoms but as you get further through the process the basic skill of breathing starts to get difficult.Im pretty sure you have heard that this started around end of December in China and progressed all over the world extremely fast. Many different places were told to be deadly cleaned but switched up soon after. Here in Dubai the precautions were took about 5 weeks ago starting by closing schools, closing malls, limiting gathering of 10 and over, not outside after 8pm till 6pm to complete lockdown.Dubai have been really strict and serious which is for the better since we are doing fine.Obviously there's quite a few cases but the care is being developed every day to make sure we all feel safe and the ones diagnosed have all the medications in need.Dubai has had to stop shiping to some places, big countries aren't making business with each including making money with Dubai , this has been effecting Dubai largely. Many jobs like taxis/ubers have been going down. The company of Emirates has had to stop flights , imagine all their workers with limited salary now being cut off even more.Jobs have been taking ups but now it has been taking downs since CEOs are having to balance their money and how much they are going to pay their workers. Its effecting Dubai economically but also with the citizens of Dubai. The country has also realised and thought about how to go grocery shopping, hospitals, pharmacies all these you will have to have a permission before getting your needs.A large amount of teenagers and toddlers are missing their friends, teachers, family ect.No shopping, no cinema, no picnics, no sleepovers.THis is a process called Quarantine.Alot of people have been trying to keep safe even putting masks and gloves at home, spraying a hand sanatizer on the grocery trolleys, cleaning their phones multiple times, limiting the touch on your face.In Dubai the people are very kind and with the community being international and full of different countries and diversity we respect that corona virus isn't a country we are trying to beat but a virus. This pandemic yet over but every person is making an effort and playing their part.
Amandine i didn't take any copy paste from internet

This started in the late 1800s. U.A.E economy first started rising with pearl diving. This took extraordinary talent you would have to dive down to a depth of 10 meters or 32 feet. Local divers would hold their breath for 2 minutes with no oxygen. Pearl divers would go out to sea for 4-5 months only to find 10-15 pearls. The locals would trade the pearls for chickens, goats and even shelter. But in 1953 a new source of money came about and this was called oil. In the Arabian Gulf 15km out to sea you would find rich oil. This glorious treasure is found 1 km below sea level. This was just the beginning of a new wealthy country.
Orla

Kandura is not just a mere outfit. It also shows the status of a person, the longer the kandura, the higher the status. An average man in the UAE has up to 60 kanduras which is a-lot of kanduras.
Emirati women are very conservative in their choice of costume. The majority of Emirati women cover their face and body due to tradition and religion. The most popular pieces of clothes are abaya and hijab. Another Arab holiday is Eid and its when all the family come together for a celebration and give each other gifts and also like Ramadan have a feast. That’s the main Arab holidays. But now eid and Ramadan will not be the same as the other years because of The coronavirus (Covid-19). Like in eid and Ramadan when we can go out for a dinner we can’t because all restaurants are closed. And we can’t have a lot of our family over because the coronavirus can spread through us.

You’ve probably heard of the corona virus also know as covid-19 by now. This Global pandemic started back in late December and early January. I clearly remember when I was sick from school watching the news hearing about this virus in China that had caused 9 deaths. I remember feeling worried but hopeful it would not reach DUBAI and would die down. After it getting more serious with schools shutting down and other services all across the globe the world was silenced in disbelief. We are all trying to work together to stop this virus and I think we all understand we can’t do it by ourselves, together there is unity and this message has never been more true than now. If only one of us stays at home out of a handful of people the corona virus will still spread. We all need to work to got stop this virus and win this battle against Covina-19. We have all learnt so much from this virus and it was a very good wake up call for us all. Whether it got us to wash our hands a little bit longer or to appreciate the doctors who are out there everyday helping and caring for you. This next bit of writing is going to be a doctors appreciation text. Doctors who aren’t even qualified for the level of work of covid-19 are having to step up and help in hot big masks and suits all day because we’re running out of doctors. This is also for all frontline staff who are risking there life’s for the greater good of humanity. Police, doctors , nurses thank you and to everyone else who’s out there helping. The Uae has done extremely well dealing with this global pandemic in my opinion. They shut down schools services and did all they could to stop people from going outside, even after some people weren’t listening or following the rules the UAE unforced new once’s and sadly the numbers are going up and We’ve had 4 deaths now in the UAE we are still doing very well. I am not trying to bring l
Other countries down but places like the UK are struggling and if they did what the UAE did a lot more sooner I don’t think they would be struggling as much. We are all slowly removing and now that the world has seen what needs to be done and taking action we are slowly by eventually will recover from this. People are saying how the never seen dubai this empty and it is really surreal but hopefully we can get back to out normal life’s in around 13 weeks time.

The UAE is very popular and has lots of malls, places and restaurants. But was it like that 50 years ago? Did it have roads and malls and restaurants? Well no it didn’t. Back in 1971 each emirate you see was a country, you are wondering how tiny the countries were before they were formed to create one country, each countries were actually very small.

But how did the UAE form?

Back in 1971 sheikh Rashid Al maktoum was the ruler of Dubai and he wanted to accomplish his dream of making a country, but what did he do to make a country? He traveled in a boat all the way to Abu Dhabi to meet the ruler of Abu Dhabi sheikh Zayed bin sultan Al nahyan and asked him if he wanted to join, and..... He agreed so both Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid went to visit Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain but those countries refused to join, Although Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, Um AlQuwain and Ras Alkhaimah agreed and so together they formed on country called THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Let's start off with mentioning when was the flag actually created, well this flag was designed in the year December 2 1971. It was created by a 19 year old man who's name was Abdullah Mohammed Al Maainah. This flag has four different colours green on the top, white under, black under white and next to them on the left was red. They all represent something. The green colour represents hope joy and love. The next colour white represents the countries purity, peace and honesty. It also represents neutrality. Then the third colour is black and that represents solidarity and mental strength. And finally the last colour of the flag is red, this colour represents courage, bravery and also strength.
Lukas 😁

The corona virus is very known at this horrible time. also known as the corona virus which has infected almost the entire world ruining everything. It has killed thousands of people, leaving other people infected severely sick or just infected. This life threatening virus/disease has begun in late December/early January. It started off with very little people infected with maximum 1000 people infected worldwide. But soon, unexpectedly, it was infecting thousands of people daily till it now (2,575,199 total cases, 178,658 dead and 57,216 serious/critical cases) from the start of this horrible virus, we all assumed that this would be a small thing and would end quickly. But clearly, we all thought wrong. slowly, schools and other work places started getting shut down all over the world. i remember thinking that it would never happen in the UAE/Dubai. I thought wrong. It is unfortunate to say that almost all places are shut down in the UAE. the only places open are the areas that are necessary. If we do leave the house for groceries or other necessities , it is required that we wear a mask, gloves and stay at least 6 feet away from other people to ensure that you are safe. Also, we need to wash our hands for minimum 20 seconds regularly. We also need to make sure we are constantly applying hand sanitiser to kill any germs! We are being quarantined right now (all over the world) to ensure that it doesn't spread or at least to try to stop it from spreading! We all need to pay respects for all the nurses and doctors that still go to work every day to take care of every single person infected. They try so hard with the risk of them getting infected. In the UAE, there are currently 7755 cases , 46 deaths and 1 serious case. It may not be as much as the other countries but its still a lot. In my personal opinion, i think Dubai is dealing with this greatly. they shut down school as quick as they could to help stop it. and much more things! it is predicted that if we all stay home we will have a proper summer that we are all wishing for. Corona has left many people heartbroken and sad because of deaths or not being. In my opinion, right now i hate corona more than anything. it completely ruined my summer. i was even planning my annual trip to Spain until i had come to the conclusion that i wont be going this year. it completely ruined my summer. it really hurt my feelings more than anything and it even brought me to tears.

as most people have heard of the terrifying sickness spreading quickly around the world, Corona virus also well known as COVID-19. As any otherr virus it can be spread from an infected person sneezes or coughs, sending little droplets into the air. These can land on the eyes mouth nose by somebody close by or even breathed in, and of course if they have touched the same things. so far the cases worldwide are 2,578,568 and 179,047 all countries are doing there best to settle the virus and find a cure. At first everyone thought it was a small virus and wasn't really dangerous but slower and slower countries have stopped kids from going to school and in the UAE and some other middle eastern countries everyone is in 24/7 lockdown and can only leave the houses/ apartments for necessary things like hospital and super markets but when they do it is required to wear gloves, mask and you must stay 6 feet away from each other , UAE and all the other countries governments are doing there job to protect everyone. some basic things you can do to prevent yourself and many others from getting sick is washing your hands on a regular basis, and follow the rules of staying home because of how well some countries are handling the virus the cases in UAE are 7755 and 46 deaths .the UAE are taking good care of there country and so are the nurses, doctors, and workers at the supermarkets, many others even YOU!! for doing your job and staying home, hopefully shortly the virus will calm down :)

EXPO 2020 (Hadia)

EXPO 2020 is being held in Dubai the date obviously has been, and if this pandemic continues will be postponed. The EXPO 2020 is now being held on the 1st of October 2021-31st of March 2022. even after the corona virus Dubai is committed to continue EXPO 2020 even if it leads to change the dates. While everyone is involved in the worldwide pandemic EXPO 2020 is getting ready. You might have heard about EXPO 2020 but are you sure you know about it and what it really is about, if you don't let me explain. The EXPO 2020 is a big celebration being held in Dubai. it bring people from around the world together in a spirit of hope and to collaborate for a better future. EXPO 2020 is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it is actually the largest event ever staged in the Arab world. It is set to welcome 190 participating countries, and millions of visitor from across the globe. They will experience warm Emirati hospitality at its finest. the main site of EXPO 2020 will be (1083 acres) located between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, near Dubai's southern border with Abu Dhabi. for a fact that is actually around 600 football pitches could you believe that!!! Yes, after this whole horrible and disastrous pandemic it has been postponed to 2021, but like they say you should always look at the bright side; EXPO 2020 will be celebrated widely after all 2021 isn't only for EXPO 2020 it will also be United Arab Emirates 50th anniversary marking it a important and memorable milestone for United Arab Emirates. You might be thinking if this will be first world EXPO or were there more before? Well the first world expo was in the 1851 in London. Then after that there has been many world EXPOS globally. They get held every 5 years and last for 6 months. Well Who is behind all of this? The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) is the intergovernmental organisation that regulates and oversees World Expos. These are some fact you will hopefully enjoy
EXPO 2020 will have a dedicated metro station capable of carrying 23,000 passengers per hour in each direction. Dubai's metro system is driver-less
There will be a ‘Superstore of the Future’ on site which will be 3,000sqm in size
25 million visitors are expected to visit Expo 2020 Dubai, Australia’s population is a similar number.
I know its hard to move on and think about something else rather than corona virus but you really should stay positive and happy. Enjoy every moment of life even the worst one think it as a memory you could tell the next generation like how the past generation told us about the black death. Stay positive and stay safe we know for sure Dubai will never let us down and we expect this to go away very soon and start the celebration for The EXPO 2020.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and have gathered much information.
Stay at home and stay safe, stay positive hopefully this will end quite soon

So it would be doing everyone a huge favour if we all stayed home. remember, its a team effort! all we have to do is stay positive!

covid-19 UAE
economies from across the globe are under pressure as they try to digest the devastating effects of the Coronavirus outbreak. since the onset of the outbreak, local, regional and international organisations have been working tirelessly to contain its spread.Authorities are scrambling to develop new medicines and technologies to prevent the coronavirus from over whelming national health systems. The UAE is beginnning to reveal itself as a pragmatic and effective leader in combating the virus.UAE Authorities have established a number of preventative measures such as quarantine and airport screenings. hand sanitizers are now in all hotels, government agencies must interact online and schools have started distance-learning. the UAE started using the wareed system at health facilities in dubai and the northern emirates .The system is designed to help doctors and health care workers to detect if the patient has the virus during the appointments . corornavirus outbreak has effected travel and tourism across Asia because of travel bans and localised quarantine policies . UAE"s largest airlines Etihad and Emirates , remain unaffected with no serious warnings issued in response to the outbreak . Learning from the mistakes of it's Asian rivals EMIRATI authorities have been quick to deploy the prevantative measures.

Dubai Flag!!!
Dubai Flag!!!
You are probably wondering what I will talk about in this huge paragraph because I will be talking about the UAE flag and what does every colour in there stand for.

The UAE (known as the United Arab Emirates) is a small luxurious country located in Asia.

COVID - 19 | Alayna
COVID - 19 | Alayna

UAE Holidays| Abdullah 7D
UAE Holidays| Abdullah 7D
The main holidays and festivals of not just UAE but also other middle eastern countries are Ramadan where you have to fast the whole day and then when prayer starts you can have food or as Arabs call it (Iftar).

UAE national clothes
UAE national clothes
Men in the United Arab Emirates wear long robes made from light-colored fabric. These robes are called kandura, gandurah or tawb.
However some of them wear all of those.
