There are different kinds of muscle cells that serve different purposes throughout the body. Cardiac muscles and skeletal muscles, also known as muscle fibers due to their oblong shapes, are used for beating of the heart and locomotion respectively. Their oblong shape allows them to have control over larger areas and be more efficient.

Muscle cells are directly responsible for the functioning of the heart, which is arguably the most important part of the body. It pumps blood to all organs in the body so they can continue functioning. Without functioning cardiac muscles ensuring that your heart is beating steadily, you would face dire health consequences or even death. In addition, smooth muscles in the stomach and intestines ensure that food gets properly digested and that waste products are properly disposed of. Furthermore, smooth muscles are in all blood vessels of the body to aid in blood flow.

Bone cells have been elected to serve as Vice President because of the close relationship between muscle and bone cells. By creating a structure for muscle cells to move, bone cells enable locomotion of the human body, as well as essential processes like procuring and chewing food. Skeletal muscles facilitate movement by contracting and relaxing when connected to bones, which allows joints to be bent.

Adipose cellss only serve one purpose: to store large amounts of fat. These cells don't perform basic bodily functions like muscles cells do, and they rely on muscle cells to function, as the energy they store is procured by muscle cells. Additionally, humans do not need 2 functioning kidneys to survive. Even if one has one functioning kidney working at 75 percent capacity, life can be sustained without many issues. Since the human body naturally has an overly abundant suply of kidney cells, losing a large amount of them would not affect the body in any major way. In addition, kidneys are reliant on muscle cells for filtering waste products out of the body and providing energy.
