A community lounge where only assistants are allowed. They go there almost every night to hang out and "destress" after work. Some of the lived-in assistants are international, I met Nasha, who had just moved in from Germany three days ago. She will be staying at L'Arche for a whole year. I love the fact that some assistants are international, it provides a great space for community. During our stay we were divided into groups to talk to each other, and get to meet one another. We discussed home and what it "meant for us". Everyone in my discussion group had the same perspective of home and community. They welcome anyone who would like to visit and learn about L’Arche or just meet the community. My experience at L’arche was a very positive one, I had a great time getting to meet the people who live there and work there together.
