 The hill we climb - The struggles they have face together 

 use of the pronoun we - represent a voice of the Americans, sense of belongings, gather a sense of the occasion 

 

We’ve learned that quiet isn’t always peace - The government tries to keep the voices low - showing the country as perfect but people are scared 

 

We close the divide because we know, to put our future first, we must first put our differences aside. - prepare for the future, set our differences aside, act as a single unit, mist power in the hands of the youth - take opportunities in the land of opportunity 

 

To compose a country committed to all cultures, colors, characters, and conditions of man.

And so we lift our gazes not to what stands between us, but what stands before us. - unity in diversity - making America actually great again 

 

We, the successors of a country and a time where a skinny Black girl descended from slaves and raised by a single mother can dream of becoming president, only to find herself reciting for one. - reaching out to a vulnerable yet highly prominent  group 

 

We lay down our arms so we can reach out our arms to one another - bringing the citizens together - sense of brother/sisterhood 

That we’ll forever be tied together, victorious.
Not because we will never again know defeat, but because we will never again sow division. - Being united as a country, being together as people of one land. 

It’s because being American is more than a pride we inherit - rights as citizens
