For this project I was able to combine both water color and acrylic to enhance to landscape, a majority of the water color was used to fade out he sky and an attempt to stretch out the mountains to make them look like the went on forever. I originally wanted the whole painting to be based on watercolor but the acrylic on the other hand was used to bring out many of the desert plants and tumble weeds. I originally thought the painting was sidewise thinking the photo was meant to be a broken down city, then I happened to notice the man and the umbrella. The red specifically in the umbrella gave light to the photo to what now I viewed as a broken musky city. Throughout this semester I have learned to talk my time and that the background of my piece makes a difference to how the main focal piece turns out. Because of this I was able to experiment more with water color in my landscapes and whenever there needed to be more attention taken to the background I would add different designs using acrylic to drag the eye around the whole piece. In doing this I was also able to experiment with many thick pants which haven't been so friendly to me in previous paintings such as acrylic, in adding more acrylic to my art work I was able to somewhat learn from previous mistakes in using acrylic and was then able to finally learn how to use the paints the proper way.
