Alexander Hamilton had a very big impact to the constitution. Since he was a major federalist, he supported the constitution and thought that everyone should. He pursued people to join his views and he wrote many federalist essays. Biography.com talks more about the essays and states, ¨Hamilton wrote 51 of 85 essays under the collective title The Federalist¨ (Biography.com). They later talk about in the article about how Hamilton was very aggressive and passionate when arguing his point. They say, ¨Hamilton was a powerful advocate for ratification, effectively arguing against the anti-Federalist sentiment¨(Biography.com).

A tariff is "a tax imposed on imported goods and services. Tariffs are used to restrict trade, as they increase the price of imported goods and services, making them more expensive to consumers¨ (Funtrivia.com). I think that Hamilton would approve the tariffs because it would make products too expensive to transport over. In result to that, America can start manufacturing the products here and better its economy. He was pro business and manufacturing during his time as the Secretary of Treasury. ¨He presented a program... to shape the future of the country as a powerful, industrial nation. He proposed establishment of a national bank, funding of the national debt, assumption of state war debts, and the encouragement of manufacturing¨ (Archives.gov).
