Unit 1 - Human Lifespan Development

Unit 2 - Working in Health and Social Care

Unit 3 - Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care

Unit 4 - Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care

Unit 6 - Work Experience in Health and Social Care
Unit 19 - Nutritional Health


Units 1-4 are mandatory for the course and are assessed externally, meaning there is an exam you must pass to complete each unit. These exams will take place in January and May/June of your first year.


Unit 19 involves creating two professionally presented nutritional health improvement plans, along with a report justifying and evaluating your recommendations.


Unit 6 will see you going on work experience in a real health and social care setting, to demonstrate your ability to prepare for and perform in a health and social care setting.
