C. Arturo did not have any feedback for me aside from some mispronunciations, which I did my best to auto-correct during the presentation.

D. I enjoyed this presentation more than I initially thought I would. Having never learned about accounting before, learning these terms and concepts in Spanish was definitely overload at first. However, I think that preparing for this presentation and getting to explain some of the concepts with tangible examples helped overcome some of this. Part of the reason I liked this section was because I had no English background with many of the terms. I wasn't only learning important Spanish business concepts but also general business concepts that will help me in any workplace environment, both Spanish or English.

B) Not surprisingly, I felt much less confident while negotiating in Spanish. I hadn't considered Abril's perspective much before, as she has always seemed very confident and capable, despite English being her second language; I'm quite impressed. Nonetheless, I was still able to understand everything Abril was saying, and I was able to counter on a few of the points.

C) I'm actually surprised at myself for underestimating the difficulty of negotiating in a secondary language. I think that if I had spent the hour before "warming up" my Spanish, I would've felt more confident. In the future, I will definitely be more cognizant of the difficulties of doing business in a foreign country/language; I can definitely see how a lot can go wrong without this understanding and preparation.

Muito obrigada por dedicar um tempo para nós, especialmente durante o tempo do almoço! Sua  

apresentação foi educativa e incrível demais. Admiro você e seu trabalho, o que é muito 

inspirador e impactante. Eu sempre gosto de aprender de pessoas que estão ativamente fazendo 

uma diferença no mundo, e você é uma dessas pessoas. Então, foi um prazer escutar você e 

aprender de você, ainda mais porque você está usando seu poder para fazer o bem!

Eu acho que suas iniciativas e programas, como Ronda Maria da Penha, o curso Salvado Marias 

e a Ronda para Homens, são bons demais e um exemplo não só para o Brasil, mas para o mundo 

todo. Essas iniciativas e programas são necessárias para, como você falou, mudar a cultura da 

violência contra as mulheres. Eu concordo que a mudança acontece mudando a cultura, que tem 

infelizmente normalizado e aceitado a violência contra a mulher.

Uma coisa que eu achei muito impactante e na verdade muito triste foi aprender que o número de 

mulheres polícias não tem mudado durante seu tempo como policial. Acho que aquela lei, que 

limita apenas 10% dos policiais a serem mulheres, é muito sexista. Infelizmente, ainda estamos 

lidando com políticas assim, que é incrível ainda ter no século XXI. Enfim, como você falou, é 

importante a gente não perder a fé, e você tem razão. Não adianta perder a esperança porque 

depois nada vai mudar. Pelo menos temos a oportunidade de mudar algumas coisas e fazer uma 

diferença!
