-Family members may do these and its more accessible for students

-Bullying & bullying on social media is seen as a big problem

Where do you think youth usually get prescription drugs not prescribed to them by a doctor? Locally most said at home and from friends which aligns with the state level.

There are more medications usually kept hidden compared to locked up and a few did say both- maybe bringing more awareness around locking up medications could be beneficial.

Locally, 59% of the community knew where prescription drugs could be taken to get rid of prescriptions no longer needed. This is still lower than the state percentage of 71% so maybe more awareness within the community could help raise that percentage up.

Locally 56% of the community is aware of the coalition/group of volunteers in the community who are working to reduce youth alcohol and other drug use which is higher than the state level of 48%.

It seemed more prevalent that parents were talking about the risks associated with alcohol compared to cannabis.

Data shows that parents are making the effort to know where their children are at for both middle school and high school youth at all times (almost 100%).
