Have you ever watched Pokemon or played Pokemon Go?

After watching this video, I realise some Pokemon are actually very similar to some real animals. But it is sad that they are endangered because of hunting and habitat loss. The next generation will have no chance to meet them unless we conserve these animals. To save the endangered animals, I think we can start from learning more about the endangered species around Asia and teach our friends and family to protect these animals. Also, people should stop hunting the endangered species for food and fur.

Will you protect the endangered species?

After the industrial revolution in medieval time ,the technology of industries has grown a lot and the factory began to build and earn money. But in the society in today , as the economic increase, more and more factories are build .Since most of the factory owners are rich , they consume much more fuel to burn,by the way, the fuels release many carbon dioxide, this can intensify the greenhouse effect. Furthermore , as the factories release many harmful chemical and they throw the chemical into the steam directly, it cause the serious water pollution and this chemical can provide a lot of nutrient for the algae or the water plant to help them grow rapidly. When they use up most of the oxygen in water to grow, the other living in the water may die because of not enough oxygen to breath. Also when the people drink the polluted water, this may affect the health of people.
Thus,we must take good care while handling the harmful chemical or use the renewable energy instead of using fossil fuel !

Have you ever drawn or seen a map before? You may think that the map is drawn perfectly. You can draw it by yourself too. Before you draw the map,you need to decide the size of the map and how big will you draw. You may draw a city, country or a state.Next, think about the percentage of water and land. Will you draw river, ocean or mountain?Let's decide by yourself. Moreover, consider what you’ll include on your map. What style do you want to create? Political or a road map.Based on characteristics as well. Then, determine how detailed your map will be.Thinking the scale of the map is necessary. If you can do the process above, you can start to colour, outline and add the details.Besides, remember to add a key for your map and draw the orientation by adding a compass,so people can read your map easily. Finally, draw the latitude and longitude lines to divide the map vertically and horizontally, so that specific locations can be found by looking at coordinates within these lines. As a result, your map has already finished!

The idea for the Three Gorges Dam was first proposed by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the pioneer of the Republic of China, in 1919. In his article, entitled “A Plan to Development Industry”, Sun Yat-Sen mentions the possibility of damming the Yangtze River to help control floods and generate electricity.

In 1944, an American dam expert named J.L. Savage was invited to do field research on possible locations for the project. Two years later, the Republic of China signed a contract with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to design the dam. More than 50 Chinese technicians were then sent to the United States to study and participate in the creation process. However, the project was shortly abandoned due to the Chinese civil war that followed World War II.

Talks of the Three Gorges Dam resurfaced in 1953 due to continuous floods that occurred on the Yangtze that year, killing over 30,000 people.

One year later, the planning phase began once more, this time under the collaboration of Soviet experts. After two years of political debates over the size of the dam, the project was finally approved by the Communist Party. Unfortunately, plans for the construction were once again interrupted, this time by the disastrous political campaigns of the “Great Leap Forward” and the “Proletarian Cultural Revolution."

The market reforms introduced by Deng Xiaoping in 1979 emphasized the necessity to produce more electricity for economic growth. With approval from the new leader, the location of the Three Gorges Dam was then officially determined, to be located at Sandouping, a town in the Yiling District of the Yichang prefecture, in the province of Hubei. Finally, on December 14, 1994, 75-years since inception, the construction of the Three Gorges Dam finally began.

The dam was operational by 2009, but continuous adjustments and additional projects are still ongoing.

Towards a Safer Food Supply--Taiwan(2017.9.14)

In the latest in a series of food-safety incidents that have unnerved Taiwanese consumers in recent years, Council of Agriculture (COA) inspectors in late August discovered contamination in the country’s egg supply. A pesticide containing fipronil, commonly used for the control of fleas, lice, and mites on animals, including pets, was found to have been used at a number of egg farms in central Taiwan, despite its having been banned for use on any animals intended for the human-food supply chain.
Subsequent inspections by the cabinet-level COA of some 2,000 egg farms throughout Taiwan revealed another 44 farms using fipronil. Tens of thousands of tainted eggs were recalled off store shelves in Taipei after being discovered by the city’s Department of Health, and the COA blocked 1.5 million eggs from reaching the market.
Taiwan amended its regulations regarding pesticides last year and now follows the European Union standard for a Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) of five parts per billion (ppb) of fipronil in eggs, while Japan and South Korea allow 20ppb and the United States 30ppb. Nevertheless, the contamination in Taiwan exceeded all available standards, reaching as high as 153ppb at one farm, according to COA Deputy Minister Chen Chi-chung.
When it took office last year, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government of Tsai Ing-wen pledged to do a better job of safeguarding the nation’s food supply than had the previous administration. Following the discovery of the tainted eggs, the President Tsai quickly pledged to raise the budget for food safety by 50%, from NT$920 million (US$29 million) to NT$1.37 billion, according to media reports.
The egg contamination scandal actually broke first in Germany and the Netherlands in early August before sparking investigations around the world that led to the discovery of fipronil in the egg supply in at least 17 countries.
After reading this article,I think that the egg farms in Taiwan should not use or use less the pesticides contain fipronil because it may affect human health. Also,I think that the egg farms used so much this kind of pesticides. This is because the contamination in Taiwan exceeded all available standards and one of the egg farm in Taiwan contain 153ppb of fipronil in eggs! This is much higher than the standard in Japan and South Korea which is only 20ppb of fipronfil in eggs!I think that the government should crack down on the egg farms that used too much this kind of pesticides to protect the human health. The government can amerce the egg farm according the excess amount the pesticide that the egg farm had used and encourage the egg farm to use other pesticide that have the same effect of killing insects with less affect on human health.

Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda are minimal. South Sudan, Mogadishu are stressed and crisis. Sana'a Yemen, Somalia are crisis and emergency.

Reflection
After I see this photo, I know that there have millions of people in East Africa are facing the threat of hunger and famine. And I start to think about how much food waste that we make in our daily life? How many children in the East Africa cannot get enough food to eat and become malnourished? Also, I try to know more about why are people in Africa facing chronic hunger? And I know that this is because recurring drought, conflict, and instability.

In such conditions, poor families don't have any money. They can’t afford enough food to keep their children healthy! For the solution to solve this food problem in East Africa, we can use the most direct and immediate solution: provide food aid. This solution can help to save lives. And World Vision can provide treatment of childhood malnutrition, such as Doctor Without Borders. They can help the poor increase incomes, like support for farmers to diversify livelihoods.

News: food problem in Afica
Population Growth and Food Demand

The population on the African continent is growing rapidly: For the period from 2000 to 2050 eight of the ten countries

with the highest average annual growth rate in the world are African. Until 2055, 18 out of the 20 countries with the highest total fertility are located in Sub-Saharan Africa. Nigeria as an example is projected to have the third largest population growth in the world from 2000 to 2050. Already now Nigeria is in the top ten of the most populous countries on the planet and expected to climb in the top five in the course of this century. All these are indicators for the enormous ongoing population growth in Africa and they point to the most important fact: The population on the African continent is expected to double from around one billion to almost two billion over the next 40 years (United Nations, 2004).

Larger populations cause higher food demand on the African continent. The nations in Africa will act to ensure that this higher food demand is met by sufficient food supply. But as elaborated subsequently, the big challenge of the 21st century for the growing number of people in Africa will be to find means to meet their food demand.

Food Supply and the Challenges

Currently Africa ensures food supply by a mix of domestic food production and overseas food imports. West Africa for example depends to 40% on imports in ensuring sufficient rice supply with Thailand as the main rice supplier (FAO, 2010). The total volume of cereal imports in Africa was around 66 million tons in 2010 (FAO, 2013a). This means that for the whole of Africa 30% of all cereals consumed were imported. (Cereals exports are negligible: Even if all exports were instead to be used for domestic consumption, 28% of cereals consumed would still be constituted of imports. (FAO, 2013b)) One of the five largest trade flows of wheat in the world is from the US to Nigeria (FAO, 2013a). Despite domestic production and import efforts there were 239 million undernourished people living on the African continent in 2012, most of them in Sub-Saharan Africa. During the last two decades the number of undernourished people in Africa has increased by more than 35% (FAO, 2012). This shows that food insecurity already now is of increasingly relevant concern. In meeting the rising food demand caused by the growth in population in Africa, there are three options of how this rising demand can theoretically be covered by sufficient food supply: raise overseas food imports, raise domestic food production, or increase both food production and food imports.

Description:
This news is about the food problem in Africa. The first paragraph is mainly talking about the population in Africa. There has 18 out of 20 countries with the highest total population are located in Africa. But, it is still keep increasing in the future though their total food supply is not enough. It cases the food shortage and even famine. The growth of population is the main reason of the food shortage. The second paragraph is about the food import in Africa.Amercia is their biggest food import company. Now the Afician depand on food import but it still can't solve the problem and the number of undernourished people in Africa has increased by more than 35%.

Reflection:
This issue has shown the biggest reason of the food problem is the population growth. But, to solve the problem, the Africa government choose to increasing the overseas imports .I think it is not a good decision. We can't say it is a bad deciosion because it also can help to solve the problem in short time .But ,it is not a long term solving kid. Not only the population growing in Africa, other places will also grow too. If the other contries need food and they can't outport anymore, the Afica will lose the depand and cause more serious food problem . If we want to solve a problem currently and want it to be a long-term action, we must solve from the begining reason . So,we should solve about the rapidly population growth so the demand and supply of food will be equal. First, to educate the people to have an idea to avoid pregment,we must send more information to them and teach them.We can send volunteers to them.Second, they must increaing their own country's food supply. The government and the charity organisation should teach them the farming method that can work in that dry region. They should know about the envirnmental friendly methods so that they can have a long time food supply.Don't be too depend on the overseas import.
Food shortage and famine are very serious problem .Although we are not in Africa, we can still help them like donate some money to let them buy seeds and set up a good farming system. We shoud also cherish to what we have and don't waste food anymore.

UN agencies say starvation in South Sudan and a further 1 million there are classified as being on the brink of famine. This is the most acute of the present food emergencies. It is also the most widespread nationally. Overall, says the UN, 4.9 million people - or 40% of South Sudan's population - are "in need of urgent food, agriculture and nutrition assistance" .Many families have exhausted every means they have to survive. The main cause of the famine is conflict. The country has now been at war since 2013 and more than 3 million people have been forced to flee their homes. Crop production has been severely curtailed by the conflict, even in previously stable and fertile areas, as a long-running dispute among political leaders has escalated into a violent competition for power and resources among different ethnic groups.

Reflection
After read it, I thought they are wretched and unfair because we are the same although we live in different places or different situations. In our world, many places are facing food problem , such as Nigeria , Somalia , Yemen...
People in there are suffering, hungering while we are wasting many food and water. We never think how they excruciation. We never try to have this life. After I read it , I am sad about it . I know that we should inspect our life and do not waste food and water. I hope everyone can notice the food problem in other place and reduce waste of water and food.
Also ,I have some suggestions about this topic. First, we can donate some money through some

charity to them to improve their situation. Therefore, they can buy some clear water and nutrition to address the food problem. Second, we can reduce waste of water and food. For example, we should buy somethings we need and with suitable amount. We also can make a list that we need so that we can avoid to buy some useless things

Water ResourcesDescription: From the graphical distribution, we can see that there is about 97%of water is made up by seas and oceans. But we cannot drink it directly. Also, because some of the freshwater is stored in icecaps, glaciers and ground. That mean, only less than 3% of freshwater can be drunk. Reflection: As we know ,human cannot live without water .From the picture ,we know it appear a big problem :extreme shortage of water resources .The water we can use is just a little ,it is limited .But human is keep using it and even polluting it .There also appear a lot of reasons for the increasing demand for freshwater .For example ,the increasing of population and the economic activities .I think it is a serious problem for us .Not only the government ,all of us should help to solve the problem .First ,the government can let people know the ways to save water thought education .At the same time ,try to find the ways to increasing the supply of clean water ,such as desalination .Of course ,we should also do somethings .We can save water in our daily life .Tall trees from littles acorns grow .If everyone do a little ,at last we can also solve the problem.

Summary:

The article is about food shortage in the future. We need to ensure that there are sufficient resources available to feed all seven billion people who live on the earth. But how? Although it seems just a few of people are suffering from hunger, but the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released figures which show that almost one billion people are chronically undernourished.

Reflection:

After reading this article, I found it unbelievable to believe that in the future, 1/7 of us will suffer from hunger and become malnourished. There is a variety of reasons which lead to this problem. They are inequality in the distribution of food resources, stagnant or declining crop yields, loss of topsoil, the growth in bio fuels, increased demand of meat, and the effects of climate changing. The problem is serious. No one knows whether he will be the one or not. It is related to us, so we need to face the problem directly and positively. What we can do from now on is avoid eating too much meat. Try to use the methods that we learnt from our textbook to protect the environment. For example, to protect the topsoil from loss, we can plant more trees (afforestation) to help avoid soil erosion. Let's try our best to prevent this problem. ^ ^

Leung Mei Yee 2D (13)

Nowadays, many countries have face water problem. It lets many people don't have enough water to drink or even daily use. So, people want to use icebergs as a new water resource to solve this problem. Icebergs contain a lot of freshwater. This idea can satisfy the water needs of a large number of people. People think it should be an important and perfect water resource, but it also have some bad points, such as influence the environment. So is this idea is a perfect idea like people said？

Reflection
Although use icebergs as a water resource can let people have more water to daily use and also let the chance of water problem decrease, but i think it is not a good idea.

First is about portage icebergs. Icebergs are very huge. About 90% of an iceberg is under the water. So, it is difficult to portage the icebergs.

Second is about environment. If use icebergs as water resource, people need to portage icebergs, but this will influence the environment. The problem of environment is also serious nowaday. Everyone knows that if the problem of environment more serious, the amount of water will less and less. As a result, portage icebergs cannot help us to have more water. In contrast, it increase the water problem.

Because of these reasons, I think use icebergs as a water resource isn't a good idea, but there are also have other idea to save water problem. For example, people protect the lakes, rivers and seas together and less to pollute the water cooperatively. This can increase the amount of water resources.

I think when people have problems, the most important thing is not to think idea to solve them. In contrast, it is do things cooperatively. Cooperation is a thing that seem simple but difficult to accomplish.

At last, hope people can find more new water resources and don't pollute the water resources again to decrease the water problem.

However, there have also a lot of countries have serious food problems. The weather in those countries always too dry so the crops in those areas always very few. People in these areas will not have enough food to eat.
Reflection
After I read this picture, I know

the problem of “distribution” of foodstuffs. Currently, the total amount of cereal crops in the world is more than the amount of consumption of 7 billion people. However, there are many people annoying about obese, on the other hand, there are many people dying because of the shortage of foodstuffs. Also, I know the food in the world is not balance. The food in the world is enough to all people. However, the people in rich countries always buy lots of food but they do not need. So the poor can not buy their food easily. Also, people in rich countries always waste their food but they buy a lot. So the food all set in the rich countries and the poor countries just have a few food and the food is expensive to them. The other problem is that the prize of the food is increase. So the poor can not buy food cheap and they also need to face the bad weather.

Some of the key challenges that are facing the industry today?
The first is water stress, or the stress on water resources. If you look at fresh water distribution across the globe, the U.S. has 5 percent of the world's population but 29 percent of the fresh water available, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. To put that into perspective, consider Africa, which has 16 percent of the world's population but only 10 percent of the water resources and Asia holds 60 percent of the world's population and has only 33 percent of the water resources, according to Citi Global Perspectives & Solutions (GPS). There is an evident challenge surrounding the demand for clean water and how to adequately supply it.

Reflection
I think that due to lack of water resources, the world has not faced a water crisis because of people's thinking, but it has faced crisis because of the inefficiency of water resources management in the past; almost all countries now use their knowledge, experience, technology, and funds. Solve all kinds of water problems in the world. In addition, the world's future water problems will be very different from those of the past and present. A new way of thinking is needed, first of all to identify the water-related issues that are emerging in the world and then find and implement appropriate solutions.

Worldwide Grain Consumption

Description

From this diagram, we can find that the worldwide grain consumption has been increasing evidently since 1997. It increased from about 1.5 to 2.7 billion tones between 1997 and 2022. It increased 1.2 billion tones in these years. The highest consumption of these three topics is the human consumption which will be about 1538 million tons in 2022. The second one is animal feed which will be about 961 million tons in 2022.

Reflection:

It is so incredible that it had increased about 1.2 billion in these 25 years. I think the major reasons of the human consumption of grain are the rapid increasing of the population of world and the wasting of people. There are many places like the Sahel are facing food shortage, but we still waste food. In my opinion, we should not waste food by not ordering or cooking too much food if not it is not necessary.

Besides, we can find that the consumption of feeding animals is also awful. I think the cause is people rearing too much livestock for eating. Many people prefer eating meat than eating vegetables. Therefore, it provides the business opportunity for rearing livestock and the demand of grain of animal has increased in recent year. We can eat more vegetables instead of eating meat to reduce the demand of the animals for eating.

Chen Yan (3)

Many people dead due to lack of water every year.

Reflect:
In this news,I have known about water shortage in the world.it may been the biggest problem in water resource.we must solve this problem immediately.if not,we will dead due lack or water quickly. It cannot solve by one county because it is a international problem.it should solve by all of us and do it step by step. First or all, government should give enough water to their people.if they country does not have enuogh, they may buy water from other country. Although it can solve problem immediately,it only can solve it in a short period of time. Therefore ,we should find another solution such as there are plenty of technologies out there that allow you to recycle rainwater and other water that you may be using in your home. Consider learning about how you can recycle water. I think we also can do something to solve this problem in our home. Let us make a wonderful world.

Description:

This article talk about agribusinesses in South Africa. South Africa consider to transform social and economic problem by changing agribusiness. Because agribusinesses use most of the water and it makes the demands for water for urbanisation and associated industrialization didn’t get enough water for work.

Reflection:

After I have read this article, I think South Africa should transform agribusinesses to improve South Africa‘s social and economic problem. First, although agribusinesses is very important of South Africa because the world population will be expected to grow to nine billion people by 2050,it will be a serious problem to South Africa. Second, In South Africa, agriculture uses almost 60% of available water, it cause that another industry cannot work with a enough amount of water. In view of different aspects of this problem, I think that South Africa should do a transformation immediately and absolutely. Even agribusinesses is important to whole country’s people but social and economic problem are also important too. So, if agricultural enterprises have advantages, but others are in a weak position, which may cause serious problems for South Africa. Comprehensive above conditions, I think South Africa should take appropriate measures immediately to improve social and economic problem.

Cr. https://theconversation.com/south-africas-farmers-can-benefit-by-reducing-their-water-use-60651

The provinces of hubei and hunanare named after their location relative to the lake: Hubei means "North of the Lake" and Hunan, "South of the Lake".
This picture shows Dong ting lake .

People reclaim lakes for framing ,fresh water fish pond and flatland for urban developement .Because of reclaimation ,the area of Dong ting lake has been reduce a lot .
Reflection:
I think reclaiming lakes would affect water resources. The Dongting Lake can adjust floods. But Dongting lake become smaller after reclaimation,it greatly reduced the lake's ability to adjust flooding.
A large number of reclamation affects the environment a lot. The shrinking of the Dongting Lake has accelerated the flow of fresh water into the sea, the lack of lake water storage capacity, and wasting a lot of fresh water resources.Sand siltation has reduced the Dongting Lake's water storage function too. the sediment deposition in the South Dongting Lake is serious. The sediment deposited in the south of the Dongting Lake reaches three centimeters every year, and the thick place reaches five centimeters.

I think that the most important reason of causing the food problem is human and the increasing of population. The distribution in the world is uneven.Like the article say,“Gap between the rich and poor, developed countries and undeveloped countries are also the reason.”I am very agree of this sentences. So,the food problem increase.I am very sad with this problem, I think that the developed countries should do something to help the undeveloped countries like Sahel and Brazil. They can help them to develop the technology, give them some money or teach them how to develop the farming. For the other problem that cause the food problem, I think that we can not stop the physical problem like the drought and flood but we can reduce the rubbish to reduce the physical problem.

Should agriculture in South Africa become the primary land of water resources?

Current situation of world water resources 2D（4）
Earth's water resources, in a broad sense, refer to the total amount of water in the hydrosphere.Because seawater is difficult to use directly, water resources mainly refer to freshwater resources on land.Water is one of the richest compounds on earth. The total volume of water on the earth is about 1.3 billion 86 million cubic kilometers, of which 96. 5 percent is in the ocean and only about 35 million cubic kilometers in fresh water. After deducting the inaccessible ice caps of glaciers and alpine tops, and the amount of water distributed in saline lakes and inland seas, freshwater lakes and rivers on land account for less than 1 percent of the total water volume of the earth.

Due to the disproportionate distribution of the population on the earth and the disparity of freshwater resources, as well as the waste of water resources and the use of water, many countries and regions in the world have a situation of shortage of fresh water resources. Many countries and regions set high cost at sea and set up desalination. Install or take other measures to ease the contradiction of fresh water supply.According to United Nations statistics, 1.1 billion people worldwide live without water and 2.6 billion lack basic sanitation.

Reduction and reuse of wastewater, improved collection and treatment of wastewater and safe reuse of wastewater can improve the problem

Description:
This picture shows us that the water problem between other countries. In Africa, people don’t have enough water for their daily life. But In some rich countries such as America, they have enough water to do many things.Like they wash their car as the picture shows below. They can use water whatever they want.
Reflection:
After I find this picture on Google,I thought that people should use their water wisely because they are a lot of people can’t use water more that 1L.They can’t take a nice bath everyday. They can’t wash their clothes.Even though some of them can’t drink clean water. They only can drink dirty water.Their life is more poorer than ours.We should use the wisely or else it would be unfair to them.
We can do some meaningful things to them too.We can donate some money to the official charity. The Charity can1 buy them some bottle of water, food or some clothes. They will be happy if you do that.
Moreover,we must use water wisely. Here are some solutions of how do we save water.First we can turn off the water when we don’t need them such as turn off the water tap while you are brushing your teeth. Second we can use the recycled water such as you use some water to clean the vegetables and then use the water which is left to water the plants. These solutions can save water and help the poor people

By using technology ,a lot of problems are produced, for example ,money,it will use up a lot of money definitely.

Title: Water reflection

Description: Water resources are sources of water that are useful or potentially useful to humans. It is important because it is needed for life to exist. 97% of the water on the Earth is salt water and only 3% is fresh water. So the edible water is very precious.

Because of the lack of water resources, many questions have been raised. First, Inadequate access to safe drinking water by over 1.1 billion people. Second, Groundwater overdrafting leading to diminished agricultural yields.Third, Overuse and pollution of water resources harming biodiversity. Fourth, Regional conflicts over scarce water resources sometimes resulting in warfare.

For such a situation, some countries propose that desalinated seawater can be used as a freshwater supply. Desalination of sea water can be done either via distillation or membrane process. However, both process requires large amount of energy and thus costly, which means desalination remains an expensive option for providing reliable fresh water supply, restricted to only economically well-off countries.

However, I think that the best solution to the problem of insufficient water resources is to cherish water.

Reflection:
Building the three gorges dam had used up a lot of money. Of course, you can say that it is very useful to control flooding. But what problems would happened then?

When the construction is working, people have to move. So, it will use up more and more money for people to live in a new place. We always say that we have to protect the environment and animals as they are very important to our world. Without them, our ecosystem will be affected. Then, our world would be more and more worse. It will strongly affect our earth. If some of the animals die, the food chain will also be affected. If the food chain is not good enough, it will completely affect human. even though human is the top of the food chain, we can eat all the living things. We are not required just eat one thing, but different people need different food. Therefore, building the three gorges dam is a wrong decision.

besides, the government always say that they need to give out more money to improve our environment. Yes, It seems that it is very good. But why do they still built the dam to destroy our environment. Don't you think it is very contradiction? Why don't they protect the environment in Chang Jiang first? It is a very big problem now! Just because of this thin, I think that the Chinese government is very hypocritical, I think they just want to let the people to trust them that they are response to the Chinese people. It is very treacherous!

In addition, the government is very stupid because i think that when they are building the dam, people have to move to a new home. It cause more expensive and if the dam collapses, it will hurt more and more people. Flooding killed a lot of people, after building the dam, people may not be flooded and killed, it seems that building the dam had protect more people, but I don't think so. If the dam is damaged and collapses, it may hurt more people, more and more people may die. Also, the dam let the land in downstream become unfertile, without farmland, food production decrease, not enough food, people may become hunger and finally they will die. There is the same result, so why do the government still built the dam, it had already killed about 30,000 people when building it.Also, it may let people die, and it needs to use a lot of money at the same time. Is it good? No, I don't think so. It is a stupid decision. In addition, why do Chinese people had to listen to an American person's idea? Are they a pig? It must not the best choices to build the dam. Of course, there is a lot of bad causes from building the three gorges dam, but I think that it's enough to prove that building the dam is not good.

Totally, I think that build the Three Gorges Dam is a worse decision.

Description:
This photo shows that a river in Shaoxing has been polluted by the leaked fuel. This shows the seriousness of the water pollution in China,or even Asia.A recent study found that about fifty percent of river in Asia has been polluted. That means the water problem in Asia is a problem that the government needs to fix this problem immediately or they could not stop the problem in the future.
Reflection:
The photo has proved the seriousness of the water problem and the water pollution in Asia. To prevent the pollution in the river in Asia,we need to do something to stop the pollutions. For example, the photo of the river in Shaoxing, I think the government should prevent people to pour the leaked fuel into the river, this cause the river starts to produce algae and have a great impact to the environment of the living animals in the river.Second,I think the government can teach the public not to pollute water in the river. The main reason why the river is polluted because the public do not know where they can dispose the trash or pollutants. If the government teach the public not to dispose the pollutants to the river, then the public will not dispose them into the river, also this can make the pollutants stops to be put in the river. To conclude,I think the government should correct the problem before it is too late .If the government do nothing, the river in China or even Asia will be polluted more and they would have no chance to change it in the future

Description:

The photo below shows the water problem in hk in 1960s.The people were facing drought.

Why ?Because the population increased fast，so the demand of water increased. However, the water supply wasn’t enough. So there were only four hours of water supply per

four days because there was not enough water.

Reflection:

After so many years,I can still imagine how serious the problem was in a big city like Hong Kong.Lives are affected because of the drought.People cannot live normally. They need to use water frugally. They cannot take showers. They cannot completely wash the rice.So people would easily get sick. The government try to buy DongJiang water from China to solve

The drought. And the government built Plover Cove Reservoir. The problem was finally solved.I think we should be Thanksgiving about why we don’t need to face the problem nowadays. And I suggest the hk government should educate hong kong people not to waste water.Because global warming would affect the weather in hk.HK Observatory found out that there will have a dought in this century. Therefore people cannot waste water.

Description:
The photo below shows the water problem in India.Drought occurs. This is because from the photo,we can see that the soil is dry and infertile. This causes by there is extremely low rainfall for a long term. This can cause a lot of serious problem.E.g.crop failure .Since soil is poor it cannot farm. While the food supply cannot meet the food demand .Food shortage and famine must occur.Hence we can see that drought can extend a lot of problem which can affect the nature or the human life! Thus, the government must try hard to find a way to solve this problem immediately.Otherwise,Imust overthrown the foolish government.(Just a joke)
Reflection:
I think India is a foolish government .Why don't they find an immediate solution to solve this problem .If I was the leader of the government,I would build build some pipe to transfer the water in the humid area which always occurs flooding. Like the South North Transfer Project. So,this can reduce the risk of flooding in humid area and drought in arid area. Also,I will encourage birth control. For example, I will distribute the contraceptive pills to woman in order to lower birth rate .So that this can lower the water demand on water.
