-REMINDER: You will need to add the test summary percentage of the NWEA checklists to the Dyslexia spreadsheet that was sent to you.  Unfortunately, after contacting NWEA, there isn't an overall report for these checklists.  You will need to either write down the percentage as students finish their test and input the percentage in the spreadsheet or you will need to go to each student's test summary for each test and record it.  

Also, don't forget, you will need to send the Arkansas screener and Words Their Way spelling test to us.  We are now located at the CEC.  

-FYI from Staley for Special Ed: In regard to our students, K - 2, with special needs.

It is a case conference committee's decision as to whether the student should be screened.  The stance of the district is that a student identified SLD in reading is likely exempt from the screening process because they've already been identified.  However, a student could be screened if the CCC feels that the process could provide additional information.

School's will have to grab a few updated data points to report back by the end of the year.  You or someone in your school will administer up to 3 RTI QuickChecks to the identified student(s): Letter Sounds, Word Recognition, & Oral Reading (running record).  The instructions are in the Dyslexia shared drive, but basically you will scroll down in the document to get the appropriate page/list to check your student's progress.  The Oral Reading instructions say to use a 100 word passage to gauge their instructional reading level, so your Special Ed/Title teachers can likely assist with that.      

Please enter their scores into the Dyslexia Progress Monitoring spreadsheet (find your school's tab) that we will maintain for the state.
