The design in a range of different styles, including Amsterdam School, Art Nouveau and Art Deco was meant to lead the audience into an illusory world, where the opulent interior served as a suitable setting for film footage and variety shows accompanied by film organ and theatre orchestra.


Your guides are architect Kees Doornenbal, involved in the latest restoration and co-author of the book Theater Tuschinski, restauratie van een droom and Karin Doornenbal- van der Wees, who researched the work of wallpainter for Tuschinski Pieter den Besten.
