The anal phase is the second stage of psycho-sexual development and lasts from 18 months to 3 years old. According to Freud the anus is the primary erogenous zone with pleasure coming from being able to control bladder and bowel movements. Major conflict at this stage is toilet training and issues with this can cause the child to be either anal retentive or anal expulsive.

(Cherry, 2018)

Anally retentive personalities hate mess, are obsessively tidy, punctual and respectful of authority. They can be stubborn and tight-fisted with their cash and possessions. This is all related to pleasure got from holding on to their faeces when toddlers, and their mum's then insisting that they get rid of it by placing them on the potty until they perform! (Simply Psychology, 2017).

Anally expulsive personalities are the opposite - due to a liberal toilet-training regime during the anal stage. The anal expulsive is the person who wants to share things with you. They like giving things away. In essence, they are 'sharing their s**t'!' An anal-expulsive personality is also messy, disorganized and rebellious. (Simply Psychology, 2017).

This stage represents conflict between the id, the ego and the superego, with the child having conflict with the parents demands. If a parent praises the child for successfully using the toilet then this stage will go well, however if a parent ridicules and punishes the child, this can have negative consequences in adult life.
(Cherry, 2018)

In early childhood, from ages (0-18 months) an infant who is over fed through breastfeeding or has a lack of breastfeeding is thought to become orally fixated in later life. The mouth is vital for eating, and the infant derives pleasure from oral stimulation through gratifying activities such as tasting and sucking. The labido is centered in the babies mouth which makes them put all sorts of things in the mouth.
oral fixations are classed as nail biting, smoking and alcoholism.
Oral personalities engage in such behaviours, espicially under stress.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAC7Ybebsb4

Genital is the last stage of Freud's Psychosexual development and begins in puberty. It is a time of adolescent sexual experimentation, the successful relationship resolution in which is settling down in a one to one relationship with another person in our 20s. Sexual instinct is directed to heterosexual pleasures, rather than self- pleasure like during the Phallic stage. For Freud , the proper outlet sexual instinct was through heterosexual intercourse. Fixation and conflicts may prevent this with the consequences that sexual perversion may develop. For example, fixation at the oral stage may result in a person gaining sexual pleasure primarily from kissing oral sex rather than sexual intercourse.

Anal Stage: 18 months - 3.5 years (approx.)

Physical focus: anus (elimination). Until now the baby has had it pretty easy. Now baby is supposed to control bowels. Freud believed babys sexual pleasure centred around the anus at this time.

Psychological theme: self-control/obedience. These things are not just related to toilet training but also the baby must learn to control urges and behaviours (terrible twos). What goes wrong here is either parents being too controlling or not controlling enough (Freud was a great believer in moderation).

Adult character: anally retentive (rigid, overly organised, subservient to authority) vs. anally expulsive (little self-control, disorganised, defiant, hostile).
