It can have harmful consequences for human <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sant%C3%A9">health</a>, <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vie">living beings</a>, the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climat">climate</a>, or material goods.</p><p>Pollutants can be of natural or <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropisation">anthropogenic</a> origin and concern atmospheric air or <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qualit%C3%A9_de_l%27air_int%C3%A9rieur">indoor air</a> in enclosed spaces (vehicles, houses, factories, offices). They generally constitute cocktails of pollutants such as <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Particules_en_suspension">suspended particles</a>, or other substances whose concentration and duration of presence are sufficient to produce a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxicologie">toxic</a> or <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="keychainify-checked" href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89cotoxicologie">ecotoxic</a> effect.
