Hello my name is Ingrid

In world war one my great grandfather fought and sadly died .He was in the air force when his engine blew up . I would like to say thank you to all the veterans who fought and died in the army .You have done a great honor for our country.We are proud to know that you fought and won for our country.    

My name is Sadhbh Brunnock ( Sive Brunnuk ). I am 10 years old. I enjoy a lot of things like Hamilton, Musicals, Among us, Singing, and a lot of other stuff. Thank you so much for fighting for America. I know you probably get a bunch of letters around this time of year saying things like Thank you so much for fighting for our freedom. But this time I really mean it. I have learned a lot about you veterans in the past years. You have fought to the bone for our country. You fought for freedom and you are deeply thanked for that. Thank you so much. Our country wouldn’t be our country without you.            THANK YOU!

My name is Cole. I like to play sports and play with my friends. I am writing to thank you for all that you have done and all that you have given. 

I am also writing to ask you a question : Was it really scary fighting in a war? And how many people would be beside you? Lastly, how long were you in the military?

 I love to play baseball. I live in Milton Massachusetts and I want to work for Internet Security like my dad when I grow up.  Thank you for serving in the US Army that was very brave. I know I couldn't  do that. I have a question I wonder what you do when you enlist to be a person in the Army? What was a  normal day in the Army like?

What was your favorite thing about being in the Army? He was proud to serve America.

Were you stationed anywhere? In Fort Bragg North Carolina, Fort Sill Oklahoma, Fort Bliss Texas.

What was your highest rank in the army? First Lieutenant.

Did you have any special rankings?Airborne Ranger which meant he jumped out of planes, Commander of the Honest John Rocket including several night demonstrations of launching the Honest John Rocket.

He was an expert marksman with the M1 rifle.

How long were you in the Army?  Three years

He was a Boston College R,O,T,C Distinguished Military graduate and received a commission in the regular Army.

My grandfather Robert Zullas was born on October 26, 1929 in Boston.  His father was from Greece and his mother was from South Boston. He grew up in Dorchester and then he moved to Brockton. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He fought in the infantry and it was very cold. One funny thing was one time when it was mail call and he thought that they were going to start with last names beginning with A, but they actually started with last names beginning with Z, so when he was late he did not get his mail.  When he had some time off from fighting, he went to Japan to rest and then came back to fight again in Korea. Instead of going to college he trained for the army right when he graduated from high school. After army training he started to fight in Korea when he was 20 years old. He never got shot, but he won lots of medals, including the purple heart and the marksmanship medal. After the war ended, he became a state police officer and learned about crime prevention and control. He also went to college and law school at night and became a lawyer. When he retired from the state police, he was the capital of the state police. He then worked as a lawyer and also taught criminal justice at a college. He passed when he was 82 because of a heart problem.

Hello! My name is Sophia, and I’m in 5th grade here at Cunningham. I want to say thank you for all that you do. I really appreciate how brave, and dedicated you are. I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to be away from your family for so long, while fighting a violent war. I honor you with all of my heart. And I have a question for you, what is it like to be fighting a war? Where did you find a safe place to sleep and rest? Once more, I want to say I am so grateful that you do what you do. Thank you so much for keeping this country safe.
