As you enter the school building the word "Welcome" is written in different languages demonstrating strates an inclusive and culturally responsive environment. This little but significant gesture shows respect and recognition for the many language origins of staff, families, and students. It creates a feeling of being included and establishes the tone for a school community that embraces diversity and makes everyone feel valued.

This family tree is next to the welcome wall. I thought it was a good idea as different countries flag are presented. Featuring different countries’ flags is a powerful visual representation of the school community’s diversity.

For the Spanish Dual classes teachers have a lot of things written in Spanish around the class. For example, the schedule, classroom jobs, and more. In these class there are Spanish ELLs who recently moved from Mexico.

4th graders drew and colored inner vs. outer me sheets. I thought it was pretty creative, written in English and Spanish.

For one of the Spanish dual classes, a teacher decorated her classroom door by having all the Centeral America flags. There is a map as well representing where the flag belongs.

Around 5-minute video answering the questions along with reflection about the project. I have personally enjoyed this project because it was fun gathering pictures, asking the lunch lady questions about food, and getting to know the school family. My school actively supports a multilingual and culturally responsive environment in different ways. As I collected photos for this project, what stood out the most was the celebration of diversity through displays like the multilingual welcome wall, the family tree with flags, and student work reflecting various cultural traditions.
