However, the treaty cause Germany to loose territory, mass demilitarization, and mass payments from the war. The economic distress and resentment of the treaty, helped fuel the Nazi party.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Weimar Republic, struggled to make a reparation payment in late 1922. This set off a chain of events, including hyperinflation and rebellions. <br>Government debt increased, and workers started to go on strike, so less good were being produced. The government printed more money, this caused price to rise at a rapid rate. By 1923, prices ran out of control.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Creation of Nazi Party</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Frustrated by the result of WWI, Adolf Hitler joined a group known as the German Worker's Party. The party promoted German nationalism and anti-Semitism, they felt that the treaty was unjust for Germany.  He became the main speaker for the group, and in July 1921 he assumed leadership of the organization.</div>]]></description>

The Nazi party made sure their message was known. On September 14, 1930, the Nazi party received 6,371,000 votes. On October 13,1930, Nazi elected deputies marched into the Reichstag. IN celebration of "winning the election" Nazi troops, and citizens smashed windows of Jewish owned stores.</div>]]></description>

Originally, General Kurt von Schleicher, was named chancellor and attempted to negotiate with the Nazi party. In fear of the growing power on the Nazi party, Schleicher stepped down. Hitler was now named chancellor of Germany.</div>]]></description>

The vote was either to approve or disapprove the merging of the two offices. 95.7% of the population voted, and 89.93% of that population voted for Hitler to become Fuhere.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Beer Hall Putsch November 9, 1923</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hitler and his followers to take over the government of Bavaria, by staging the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich, but the plan failed. Their plan was to kidnap Gustav von Kahr, the state commissioner&nbsp; of Bavaria.&nbsp;<br>Hitler had met with von Kahr earlier, asking him to assist with a march on Berlin, but von Kahr disapproved of his plan. Later when von Kahr went to the Beer Hall, Hitler and his associates attacked, hopping to convince the leaders into approving the march. As this attack happened, von Kahr and the the leaders were taken to the back of the hall for safety.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Nuremburg Laws Take Effect September 15 - November 14, 1935</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Nuremburg Laws were written to "push" Nazi ideology. Instituted on September 15, 1935, &nbsp; the laws revoked Reich citizenship from Jewish people, and propitiated Jewish people from marrying or having sex with "pure blooded Germans".&nbsp;<br>On October 18, 1935, a new marriage law is added. This new law required all marriage partners to obtain a certification of fitness for marriage.<br>November 14, 1935, the Nuremburg laws started to extend to other groups of people. Now people of Roma, Sinti, and people of color, were not allowed to marry of have sex with "pure blood Germans".</div>]]></description>
