I believe humans at their core are deceptive. In fact many can say without a doubt, they have lied in order to protect the mentality and/or physicality of themselves or others. In dramas secrecy and mystery shape the plot, and deception throughout characters is what creates character development as the story climaxes.

Humans are flawed due to the constant battle between our personal morals and social standards/public morals. As humans we hesitate or think about what it is we need to do in each and every situation, this could be in relation to our own morals or about the we way we may be perceived by those around us for our actions. Hamilt does the same when it comes to killing his uncle where he hesitates and thinks that he may not need to kill him and that he could just live his life. move on. He ends up going through with the action when he is faced with the end of his life, he no longer had a reason to think about his morals or the morals of those around him.

As seen in Hamlet, a large majority of the themes reflect qualities of man that are not necessarily admirable. For example, we see Shakespeare's views on revenge, an action that is relatively always viewed as rash and harsh. These themes continue to discuss the negative qualities of human nature, including deception, false appearance, corruption, and more. As humans displaying these qualities are portrayed, we receive a relatively accurate depiction of precisely how we as human act.
