I chose the scene where Pecola had succumb to insanity and was talking to her imaginary alter ego. I made sure to take into consideration the beauty standards that black women are pressured to follow such as straightened hair and perfectly blue eyes. I projected those beauty standards on the "new" Pecola, and had her old self brushing her hair and metaphorically stroking her ego as she reassures her that her new eyes are the bluest. I put her into a yellow dress which is the same color as the dandelions mentioned earlier in the book.
