Dear Nicole,

Glad to note you are going to have an interview with a travel agency. It is your new attempt and I think the job is quite suitable to you. In this regard, I would like to share with you some of my suggestions.

Being a close friend of you, I know you are an optimistic person and endowed with an open-minded character, always willing to make people around you happy. Your good and caring character would help you a lot in making a tour more relax and pleasant. Incidentally, you would get acquainted with people from different sectors. With your sincerity bear in mind, they would recommend their friends to join your tours. To become a competent and successful tour guide leader, you must be highly considerate and always think from others point of view. As a matter of course, you must have a strong sense of direction as all of your tour member count on your guide.

Apart from your sincerity, you must process a high sense of humour and EQ. Very often, there may have some sudden or unexpected matters occurred during a trip, such as traffic jam, disputes amongst the tour members etc. Under such circumstances, you have to take a flexible and pleasant attitude to get the matter settled amicably. Moreover, you have to explore new itineraries from time to time so as to let more people understand the local culture, and be a good story teller which requires some tactics so as not to make the tourist feel dull.

To distinguish yourself from others at the interview, you have to get yourself well prepared, such as to choose an appropriate clothing, to arrive the place of interview a bit earlier, be polite and have eye contact with the interviewer to prove your confidence. Of course, you must have adequate preparation of your subject matter as a tour guide leader, ready to be raised.

The above are the suggestions that I can think of. Please feel free to contact me should there be any other things you would like me to share with you.

Warm regards,

Michael

Student Name:Lily Chan

Dear Nicole,

I am happy to hear that you will have a job interview with a travel agency company. As this is the first job interview after you graduated. Here are some of my tips and recommendations. Firstly, you need to dress well for the interview as this is the first impression to give to the interviewers. Also, you need to do research on the company background and know the position that your are applying. There should be many questions relating to the company and why you are suitable for that job position. Moreover, you have to bring along all of your resume, ID Copy, Photos, Credentials, Travel agent licence and those certificates of extra curricular activities.

You would have to show the interviewer why you are qualify for the job. In order to achieve it, it is important for you to prepare yourself introduction. You could let the interviewer knows that you like travel so much and do some research on the flight arrangement from Hong Kong to different destination , the famous sightseeing site and landmark in different countries , food and cultures for them. It is crucial to show them you are capable of working in the travel agency as you are familiar with different aspects of travel already.

Hong Kong is not a large place but there are many good foods and beautiful sightseeing points in different districts. If you need to bring a tour in Hong Kong, you have to explore this to attract people to join. Here are three of the top attractions in Hong Kong: It is the highest point on Hong Kong Island and it offers superlative views of the city and mountainous countryside beyond. Cross the Victoria Harbour on a Star Ferry to take a closer look at the coastlines of Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. The Big Buddha, which took 12 years to complete, is the second-largest outdoor seated Buddha statue in the world.

During Covid19, most of the countries has prohibited travelers to visit. I think local tour could attract more people to join if the price is acceptable. Also, you could tell the interviewer that you have already inject 2 vaccine for avoiding Covid19 to show that you are always ready to travel .Good luck to your interview!

Cheers,

Lily

Student Name: Han Cheng

Dear Nicole,

How have you been? I have received your email, in which I learned that you will have an interview in a travel agency. I think this job is very suitable for you. In my impression, you are a warm and friendly young man who loves tours. As your friend, I'd like to give you some suggestions now.

First of all, before the interview, we should be fully prepared. Such as self-introduction, basically any interview, self-introduction is an essential part. You need to sell yourself in a short period of time to attract the attention of the interviewer . Therefore, simulate several times before the interview, until it sounds natural, just like normal speech. During the interview, remember to smile and make eye contact with the interviewer. Lastly, don't forget to ask questions, too. Asking questions can show that you have a strong interest in the job. You can ask questions about the content of your job.

In my opinion, a good tour guide should be a cheerful, warm and friendly person. I know you are a sunny, easy-going and kind person. As a tour guide, in the process of travel, there should be warm care for every passenger, provide humanized services, and good at dealing with all kinds of passengers. With different types of people having a chat, to create a harmonious atmosphere, let the passenger produce a kind of feeling at home.

Last but not least, I think a tour guide should be a knowledgeable person. Only by constantly learning new knowledge, hot topics ,accumulating a wealth of knowledge reserve can you talk endlessly explain. Only after you have seen the world, can you know how to show others the world. Satisfy the tourists' pursuit of culture and knowledge of different regions, so that passengers can truly enjoy the fun and freedom of travel.

The above is my suggestion. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact me .

Good luck to you!
Michael
