The aim off this system is that the houses can check how they are operating and what they can offer. This system will be an intern system so it will not be communicated to the guests. 

At the moment the houses don't really know where they standing, so I hope that this system will help them to improver their overall performance.

During my placement I implemented a Food-waste monitor system at the kitchen of the company. I will write my advisory thesis about which adjustments that lead to food-waste reduction in the buffet restaurant of Landal het Vennenbos are considered most feasible.
I choose the Food-waste topic because it is considered as one of the biggest problems for our environment.

My name is Heline de Bruin and I will be joining in the first BT course as well. I do FM and live in Breda since I started at NTHV. The past years I worked at A la Carte, were an active member at G.D. Egidius (Xenia) and went to Kuala Lumpur for my internship. After all these fun things, I will start the next 'fun' part of my studies: writing my theses!

PERSONALIZATION PART
For my personalization I will participate in a research developed by Danny Han and Jelmer Weijschede. The reseach will be (in short) about 21st century skills of students related to the working population.

FUTURE
In the upcoming weeks I hope to find a topic related to this research and start to write a masterpiece about it. Probably like you all, I would like to gratuade this year. After my graduation I would like to travel for a while and when coming home, I will look at what the opportunities are at that moment.

Unfortunately graduating in curriculum 2.0 didn't work out for me so I started this year with a clean slate. 

For my Personalization I did a placement at AB InBev in Breda during the last few months, where I worked at the Brand Management department for Leffe. I wrote a Professional Product about the importance of internal marketing. 

From February until May I will be working on my Bachelor Thesis, which I will also write for AB InBev. The subject for my thesis still needs to be specified, but it will roughly be about the value of beer brands within hotels. 

I hope to graduate in June, after which I want to start searching for a job within marketing/events.

From February until May I will be working on my BT and follow the BT Course to have some extra guidance  and deadline to work towards.
I want to write a design report with the goal to find out how to improve the influence- and negotiation skills of agents in the strategic workplace advisory and develop trainings and workshops to realise this. 

From August till January my goal is to work at a strategic workplace advisory company in the Asian Pacific region to see how they interpret the trainings and workshops developed in the Western Europe and see what the cultural differences are.

After I am finished at the NHTV I want to work at a I company where I have to convince people, organise, take decisions, react to unknown situation, work in a company with young people, a modern company with profit objective and I do not want to sit behind my desk all day long.

As involved before to one hotel company’s social media marketing I started to wonder why people don’t follow that much hotels on social media and what kind of content could interest the audience. My topic still needs to be narrowed and yet I don’t have any case company.

My aim on my career is to work in some point in the marketing department and therefore hope that my thesis will help me to go a little bit forward towards that goal.

I have spent my personalisation phase following the minor "co-creating events and designing experiences" due to two reason: 1 - I am kind of done with working in hotels. 2 - I will work for the rest of my life, so I'd rather further develop myself in an academic way while I still have the chance.

Regarding my thesis, I initially wanted to combine it with my greatest passion: languages (I speak 5). I wrote a proposal for the Regina Coeli Language Institute (Nonnen van Vught), but they declined. So now I am starting this course without actually knowing what my plan is. At the same though, I want to hand in ASAP. Once I have my topic, I am ready to commit to it. I really like qualitative research (don't mind transcribing at all!) and I am interested in the human element, motivation and psychology. I also find operational processes interesting. I strongly dislike marketing.
