In our imagined community Academic English and Sociolinguistic discourse are prioritized. They should be used in each one of the sociolinguistics (group discussions, open class discussions, lectures, outside conversations about this space, etc.) and academic (papers, course lectures, etc.) contexts that exist in this space.

REVISED:
[add to the paragraph] Despite this, our imagined community strongly encourages students to utilize their L1 (or another preferred language) to process and retain information, and engage with students from similar backgrounds.

Our imagined community does not include ample spaces for discussion involving gender differences and dynamics through language practices. We are discouraged from opening spaces where open discussions about the relationship between gender-specific language and organizational social structures can occur organically. Our approach to teaching and learning strictly includes the literary and research canon in sociolinguistics.

REVISED:
Our imagined community is an inclusive community that accepts and welcomes all gender backgrounds and identities. It creates a safe space where individuals are properly referred to their preferred pronouns and gender identities.

Our imagined community's ideal learners should always be receptive and eager to think critically and purposefully include all language variations and dialects. Our learners should feel empowered to question the materials and approaches used by the teacher, and they should feel encouraged to participate actively or engage in relevant discussions about their professional and academic experiences. And finally, our learners should be inclusive of all languages inside and outside the spaces of these communities.
