They contain antennae on their heads. Crickets have two compound eyes, three ocelli on their forehead and wings that they flat on their bodies.
Size: They can grow up to 2-5 inches long.
Movement: They have wings, but can't fly. They travel around by jumping short distances by producing "jerky" moves.
How they get Food: Crickets can be omnivorous. They have powerful jaws to chew/bit things/food.
What they eat: Crickets will eat anything from plants to dog food.
Reproduction: Males establish dominance with aggression, then they attract females with their "call". The female will mount onto the male and a single spermatophore is transferred to the external genitalia of the female.
Habitat: Crickets are found all over the world, but not in cold areas with an altitude above 55 degrees.
