You gathered students' opinions about graphic novels with a quick digital survey and followed up with a discussion of each question before segueing into the elements of a graphic novel.  Your explanation of each component was clear and student-friendly.  It was delightful to hear students share their opinions and misconceptions about graphic novels!  Then, to top it off, you weaved personal anecdotes into the lesson and provided students with a list of four personalized learning choices from which to select and complete in groups.  Finally, you wrapped up the lesson by allowing students to reflect on their choices, thus supporting internal summaries, a key descriptor in the SCTS 4.0 rubric.
