Sports have a massive effect on the mental well-being of a person. The perfect way to relax and unwind is through at least 30 minuets of sport. In the gym or on a field. It is scientifically proven that exercising actually improves mood "Physical activity provide biochemical changes in the brain" says Dr Michelle Cleere. Exercising triggers a brain chemical called endorphin which stimulates your brain to feel satisfaction, happiness and relaxation. This helps to feel more satisfied with life and generally lifts the mood of the participant. It is also note by Dr's and scientists that team sports have an increased chance to give of this chemical. This is mainly down to the social factor as connecting with people also helps lift mood, combine this with exercise and the brain is sent into overload sending chemicals and hormones causing the feeling of well being.

It is proven that being physically active regularly can help with the stresses of life and help people with depression( website 2 agrees with this statement) . This is because when you take part in physical activity your mind is taken away from stress and negative thoughts as it is forced to concentrate on the activity the person is taking part. Exercises also regulates stress hormones in the body and stimulates a brain chemical called endorphins which is a mood enhancer and is responsible for feeling satisfied with yourself . All the chemical the brain releases and stimulates during exercise are natural and benefit the body hugely physiologically and physically. Endorphins also have the capability to completely relax you and leave the person happier and more satisfied.

Sports and other forms of physical activity improve the quality of sleep. It does this by helping you fall asleep faster and deepening your sleep. To improve this try not to use your phone before you go to bed so it doesn’t get your mind thinking and worrying about things. Sleeping better can improve your mental outlook the next day, as well as improve your mood. Some sports, before a few hours before bed might leave you too energized to sleep and this is not good for the mind. if you're an active person it is more likely for you to sleep less than a non active person.

Obesity is an abnormal accumulation of fat that may impair health. unlike other diseases, social and environmental factors play a significant role in defining obesity. For example, a lot of fast food places near you encourages a lot of the population near them to eat fast food regularly. The consumption of a lot of sugars and fats causes the person to become over weight if the person also does not take part in regular exercise it further increases the chance of an accumulation of fat. This can lead to low confidence levels which will affect your participation in sport. which in turn makes it very hard to get out of the loop and causes further complications
