Students are thought as if they should retain all information for years to come but that not how students see it. They see it as they need to pass the test in order to get a good grade so in reality they are only studying for the test and not so they remember things years down the road. Society has pressured kids in to making them only do well in school because they need to pass and when they start to fall behind they cheat so no one knows they are struggling. So with this it throws out the independent learning aspect because they are relying on others to carry then through or relying to heavily on the internet for the answers. While the internet and computer games are great for learning different strategies and seeing first hand how things will play out it might not be the best for some kids.

Technology is really great but it can also be hurtful to some kids. Having to much exposure to technology can hurt their brains and strain their eyes. But having technology has been such a great improvement to help those who struggle in school even though it still enable kids to find the answers to homework and school work.
Why is it that kids only study for the test and not to actuality retain the information?

In the article, it talked a lot about how traditional teaching styles do not work with how students in the digital age learning. This is so true because students now are so fluent with technology and how it works they struggle when it comes to school. Having only one way to receive work or only working on one assignment at a time can be tricky for students of this generation. Students now more than ever understand technology and how to use it than past generations, by incorporating this into their school day and homework it makes learning more fun for them. Over time kids brains have changed and how they process things have changed. This has always been a thing that has happened but in some classrooms, things are not changing and it really shows with how well only a fraction of the class does. Now with allowing new technology into classrooms, it allows for kids to enjoy learning a little more with something they are really comfortable with. Although having technology in the classroom can be very distracting for some kids. This happens when kids who do not get to use technology that often. This also happens when the technology is too tricky for the students like if they use a new app or website it could take them a while to use it so the work might not be up to par whereas if it was on something familiar where they could succeed.
Is there a way to make it more accepting of technology in the classroom?
