How did she do that? From the start of the short story, she writes “from the baby-soft feel of the touch of his hand, the velvety sheen of the skin of his face, to the perfect match of what he wore, luxurious silks and soft, lush wools – each garment quietly announcing DESIGNER.” This is clear that Magona is trying to paint a picture of how handsome and nicely dressed Masondo is in the reader’s mind.
