I received a list of staff that are in charge of guiding me for the whole internship semester in PERKESO TELUK INTAN, Perak. The best point is that I can learn how every department works and how they relate to each other.

For 4 days which started today until this thursday (10/3/22) I will be guided by Kak Normala in case investigation. Due to COVID-19 cases that are increasing nowadays, I have been placed in an office to help others if needed.

Puan Normala firstly briefs the basics about PERKESO products and services and also explains the components in every form that requires Orang Berinsuran also known as OB, to fill out. Apart from that, she asked me to make 20 copies of each form.

After that, Puan Yati asked me to check and stamp on the baucar pembayaran with letters and cheque to deliver it to OB according to approval and reviewed date. 

After completing 9 hours of work as required, I punched out at 17:13.

Miss Hanis, Mrs shafinaz, Mr Vicky, Mr Vish and Mr Hussin teach me to use QTermUTS 5.2 to determine whether an OB has received any amount under ILT (ilat), HUK (hilang upaya kekal), PENAKAT or none. 

In the afternoon, I filled my leisure time by reading the Perlindungan Keselamatan Sosial book that was provided by the staff. This book contains details about Akta Keselamatan Sosial Pekerja 1969 (Akta 4), Akta Keselamatan Sosial Pekerjaan Sendiri 2017 (Akta 789), and Akta Sistem Insurans Pekerjaan 2017 (Akta 800). 

Apart from that, in the critical hour in the afternoon, I was able to hear staff conversations about related cases and their current issues. Also, I be able to see how they manage and handle the issues. 

I punched out at 17:08 and drove straight ahead to home.

At 11:14am, we arrived at United Plantation Berhad (UP) in Ulu Bernam to get the manager and person in charge (PIC) for Sungai Erong and Sungai Chawang. To be able to claim reparation from PERKESO, UP Berhad needs to give a detailed explanation of their previous 2 workers from Bangladesh that died in 2021. Other than the explanation, they also need to provide the original post-mortem results, death certificate, and other related documents.

After that, we arrived at Rajan Excavator Contractor Sdn Bhd (REC) in Hutan Melintang to get some documents needed to proceed with the reparation process for their worker who got injured while working. 

After a long journey, we arrived at Perkeso Teluk Intan at 15:13. And I punched out at 17:05

In the morning, we (me and other practicum friends) got an opportunity to enter Bilik Alat Pemulihan, which placed inventories for people who needed them after being involved in any accident that resulted in OB, as Hilang Upaya Kekal (HUK) or Hilang Upaya Sementara (HUS). In there they have a wheelchair, diapers (M-XL size), crutches, Ensure Gold milk, a mattress, and other equipment for OBs who are eligible.

In the afternoon, I was asked to make 20 copies of the HUS form for accident cases. And being able to use a shredder machine to dispose of used paper.

While in the evening, we volunteer to fold and organise new files. Other than that, me and the other practicum student who is from Politeknik Arau, Perlis, together stamp and compile OB 'Baucar Pembayaran until the end of our working hours.
