What I know about South Africa is the white minority that took control of the BIPOC majority fairly recently in history like around modern times. There's a whole mix of people that live there although due to apartheid they're subjected to control by white people. I also know about Nelson Mandela who tried to fight the institution but got incarcerated for 27 years for it. That's how bad the imbalance of power is.

What the articles were centered around is something called Apartheid. It's a policy of racial discrimination and segregation. During the late 1940s & 1950s, protests began that were led by multiracial and south asian individuals. The regime banned political parties working in opposition to Apartheid, causing thousands of protesters to seize a police station and demand changes. These events caused activism to boom and the ignition of resistance against this discrimination. Graffiti was significantly used during this time to bring awareness to Apartheid.

I know a good amount of Apartheid from high school. I find it interesting how white people moved to South Africa and claim to be South African when that's not their native land at all. Apartheid didn't make that much sense to me because how does a colony of Dutch people just park themselves into South Africa and immediately begin segregating and forcing unfair rules onto the people who have been there long before they have? That's what doesn't make sense to me and in high school, I think my teacher could've taught this topic much better but he was pretty boring instructor (great guy, just didn't teach in an interesting way).

South Africa is one the recent resistant Black Country in the world. There was the worst system against black people: the apartheid. I cannot forget the revolution in South Africa with Nelson Mandela, Winnie Mandela.....

I have read about " Born a crime" of Trevor Noah who had suffered because he was a colored child over there. The freedom song of these brothers and sisters touch me all the time. I also remember of World Cup organized in South Africa.
