I emphasized how we as educators should change our teaching goals and expectations for our students in the way of designing curriculum and instructional strategies. I felt like different organizations and people had experimented and done so much in this field in order to provide a better system for future generations. Thus, we shall never stay on the ground that others offered but move further than just setting the goal of asking students to be able to read (Remember or Understand in Bloom’s Taxonomy). Our teaching expectations should also evolve to a higher level, such as letting students apply, evaluate, and create based on what they have learned.

One student said we should not only learn but also relate the things we have learned to the world, and to be open to other’s opinions as well rather than believing it's enough when we achieve to a certain level. This made me reflect on my own experience in certain areas that I felt I had mastered and I just stopped further improving. It made me realize that mastering or achieving something is far from enough. Therefore, we finally lacked preparation for our content. The zoom group who presented the same formative assessment had done a great part in vividly demonstrating their idea through an appropriate tech platform. It was more engaging and persuasive. I think that was what I should learn for my future activity.

I also need to practice my oral English in front of the public especially using the microphone. As the professor said, we as teachers should get used to these teaching tools because they are helpful and sometimes necessary in our future classroom.

However, I do appreciate my ability to react on the spot. As the previous group had already done most of the contents, I tried to demonstrate my slide in a different way by reinforcing the important notes for this specific concept. And this was actually the first time for me to have a speech without a draft. Even though it was short and informative, I still felt proud of myself. It was huge progress for me!

Compared to mine, I think it more bravely broke the constraint of educational technology and explored the wonderfulness that various platforms, even games, can offer for our teaching.
