One of our 2023 graduates (previous Computer Science and CTE: Games and Simulation student) texted me this week to share that she got +2 points of extra credit on a lab where she implemented linked lists with C++. She shared how much she's enjoying Calculus and her Computer Science curriculum, and how she was able to skip a CS prerequisite because she did well on the AP Computer Science Principles exam! So proud of the work we do every day to support our kids' future growth!

In at least 5 or 6 PMMs recently, I have heard parents share that they have NEVER been a part of such a supportive environment and are grateful for our school. That makes me grateful for our staff, who go out of their way to give our kids the best experience possible. Thank you for always putting our kids and our families first.

Parent in a conference call yesterday expressed that they wished their kiddo had found our school earlier! The student joined us late during their senior year and they are already thriving here. They are both so impressed by the support we provide.

Everyone needs to see the new baby tigers from the San Diego Safari Park. They are 1 day shy of 4 months old in this picture. The girl is Puteri, which means "princess" and the boy is Hutan, which means "forest".

On a mid-semester conference this morning, a CT told me how grateful she is for our school and how amazing all our teachers are. CT said that her ST has talked about how passionate all his World History teachers are in Live Lessons, and that has increased his own interest in the topics and content!

During MSCs this week, I have been telling CTs and STs that this is an opportunity for me to brag about them; and I truly mean it! I have some wonderful STs this year that are putting in the work, and it shows! I'm proud of them and really enjoy talking with them each week :)

Positive Growth

I've found myself talking with family/friends over the past few months and consistently describing our school and leadership in such positive light and sharing how much I believe that our school is moving in the right direction and consistently recorrecting where necessary rather than just sticking to "the ways things are". I don't think most traditional school settings are like that and I'm really thankful to believe in the growth and direction that we are headed as well as the leadership we are under!
