A key point is setting a maximum budget which you absolutely will not go over and a realistic budget which allows some wiggle room for your costs.

I chose this video because it breaks it down into smaller parts and categories when planning your wedding.

This website article takes real life experiences from wedding photographers and their take on wedding costs. It showcases weddings with a variety of budgets, and that anything is possible with whatever amount it is you may have. They asked real life people about their wedding budgets and did real life research.

I chose this website because it is recent and they personally collected data and it is clearly represented in a graph. The website has clear explanations and information to explain the numbers showed throughout. A key piece of information in this website is that these couples decided on a budget and it was most likely in these numbers that they were $5000-$10,000 below their set budget. As well as when the budget is under $30,000 they are likely to stay under budget and if the budget is over $30,000 then there was more money spent causing them to be over budget.

This website communicates some common mistakes which can happen when planning your wedding. It provides helpful tips to navigate your planning and to avoid these errors. It also included how to properly plan for these things. A key point in this website is that it tells you at the beginning. what is in this article and it shows what percentage of your budget should go to different expenses.

I chose this website because the tips and mistakes people make are clearly written out with explanation as to why it happens and a reason which you can avoid it. The website is easy to navigate with all the information separated, explained, and clearly laid out. A helpful piece of information which is the key point above is having the percentage known for each category and having your budget. By having these two things you can figure out what your max budget for each category is which will help you from overspending.

This video explains the most common situations of who paYs for the wedding. It breaks down different aspects of the wedding to explain how the different parties may possibly pay for different things. A key point is that there may not always be family contributing to the wedding, it may be the bride and groom 100% paying on their own.

I chose this video because it helps you figure out who may pay for what if there are other contributors for the wedding and gives a look on what sometimes happens in this situation. A useful piece of information given is when who pays for what and how it is separated into bride or bride and family and that the groom or groom and family pay for specific things for each other and contribute to things for the other person.

This topic was interesting because when creating a budget, no matter how big or how small a budget is, you can still use the percentage rule to get your max budget for each section of planning.

This topic is relevant to me because my uncle just got married last year and I got to help with some things throughout, so I better understand everything that goes into the wedding now as well because they did a "destination" wedding. I also find it interesting how much detail goes into weddings and that every last detail gets discussed.

I would share with my family/ friends that you don't have to have this great big budget to have everything you want. No matter your budget you can still have your perfect wedding. The percentage rule is something I would share with my family as you can use it at anytime.
